Based on what I remember this is pretty surprising

Emig is probably stoked…

I would guess that royalties aren’t keeping up with expenses now……

The animosity between those two brothers is crazy. Just a couple of years ago I remember reading that Liam had never met Noel’s kids or something wild like that.

cold day in hell lol

Band had some amazing music.

"Dig Out Your Soul" is definitely an under rated album.

Fairly forgettable band unless you came of age in the 90'. Couldn't stand the singer's voice. Same with Guns n Roses.

I strongly disagree with you here.

You and millions of others. I'm used to it.

It made the national evening news on multiple networks last night. It was big news to me but was a little surprised at the coverage.

Oasis is like Maroon 5 for me...

IDFC 🤣

Now, G-n-R...on the other hand...Paradise City...? Get in the Ring? Well...that's stuff to live by!

And then there's Cool Hand Luke brought to music... "What we got here is...failure to communicate..."

Caught the final 10 mins of Liam Gallagher live from Reading, it was all Oasis songs, fucking awful. Dreary, bearly "sings" the notes. How the drummer doesn't fall asleep with boredom I don't know, dum, pah, dum dum, pah.....same drum beat in the same time through it all. This does not excite me whatsoever. They are very entertaining when being interviewed though.

At one point when these 2 insufferable brothers were a thing in the 90's they declared they would be bigger than then Beatles.

I had to chuckle and they went away shortly there after.

I actually like Oasis, but I can get burned out on them really, really quick.  I saw a documentary on them on perhaps Netflix and it was a pretty decent story overall.  But damn, the ego clash of the brothers was of epic proportions.

Most of the time I can put on an Oasis "album" on Spotify and not want to fast forward through it to get to the 'good songs' like a lot of other bands.

Yeah I actually like their deep cuts better than a lot of the radio stuff. They make solid "albums" for not being the greatest musicians. I need to check out that documentary I've heard a lot about it the last few days.

I can't think of a worse musical insult than to be compared to Maroon 5, ouch. lol

Remembered the name.

Figured that the era they came from, there was a good reason I couldn't remember any of their stuff.

Then another post elsewhere had a music link.

Mutherphuquer you can't unhear that garbage.

Funny how different our tastes are, I love Oasis. Always reminds me of racing motorbikes everytime I hear them.

Same here. Was lucky to get selected at random for the pre-sale, and bought 4 tickets last night for the show at Wembley on August 2. Can't fucking wait!

Looks like they will sell out all tickets in few hours. Wish I could go. One of my biggest regrets is not going to their concert back in 1997 when I was living in UK. Went to some BS concert at Wembley instead.
