Trump admin negotiated the American forces withdrawal from Afghanistan . NATO signed agreement soon after . Biden admin fucked up the management of the withdrawal . Taliban took control within weeks to nobody’s surprise . ISIS still at war with everybody .
They never went away. In west Africa at least they called themselves ISIS west Africa and have been fighting Nigeria and other west African states pretty hard since 2015.
Thousands have been killed in the fighting upto the present day.
And many of those African countries are teaming up with Wagner/Russia to fight the Islamists . After this Moscow attack you can bet your ass that those Wagner troops are going to come down HARD on the people in that area . That will likely send a huge new wave of refugees towards EU .
