She was a horrible person who stripped a lot of law abiding citizens of their constitutional rights and made the corruption in DC mainstream. The fact that “she” was voting this week should tell you all you need to know about how broken our government is.

I will say that she made one move that I appreciate. Feinstein had authored a bill which made some CA land into wilderness (bad,) but had nevertheless carved out some territory for off-road access and recreation (good.) When others in the Democrat party summarily wiped out her concessions to our community and made everything off-limits to motorcycles, she later went and opened up another area for off-roading. She even used terms like "It's only fair."
I very much disliked her politics, but I will give her a salute for that action.
So, what do you think? Gavin appoints her to the senate seat, she effectively is a politician the rest of her life vs her political career ends Jan 2025 if not sooner. Then they slide Gavin Newsom into the VP slot, Joe does not finish his term and Gavin runs for re-election for president?

This is the sort of evil shit "some" of the rich folks do that I was referring to in the other thread. What they did was probably "legal" and considered smart by the big money people...big is it moral or ethical?

Seems to me there should be regulations preventing immediate family of Congress from doing these types of things. To me it is unethical, but we're dealing with Congress so ethics are out the window.
I was taught that even the "appearance of impropriety" is wrong.
Obviously, I'm a naive simpleton. I'm quickly learning that maximization of profit, by any method or means is what makes this country great. Those that earn their living with their hands and back are merely tools for the more intelligent and enlightened that deserve everything they risk.
