Mainstream exposure is good for the sport.

I do wish they could’ve focused on Supercross or motocross a little bit more but either way it’s it’s good for the sport regardless.

I saw this when I was at the gym yesterday afternoon. Very nice seeing it on a mainstream sports show.

You would think the AMA, our trusted sanctioning organization of dumfounded dipshits, would have been all over this years ago. But, apparently they are making sure WADA is in business screwing over people like Stewart and Tickle, making certain sound levels are strictly enforced and seeing you pay every frigging dime for your licesnsing fees.

As a reminder....AMA is a sanctioning body and has zero to do with promotion...

The AMA supposedly is there to represent riders and promote the sport...as well as sanction.

Ummmm...no...their only duty is to sanction and uphold the rules...Feld/MXSports promote....but that's ok you're not the first to be confused and blindly blame the AMA for something they have nothing to do with and you most certainly won't be the last....

Go read their website. They have a lot going on apparently.

AMA Mission: To promote the motorcycle lifestyle and protect the future of motorcycling.

How the eff do you promote and protect the future of motorcycling without actively promoting motorcycling through MEDIA? The AMA is, and I've said it before...fkng useless. They are an organization whose #1 goal is getting paying memberships/licenses to keep the machine going and a REAL distant second is protecting the future of the sport.

I get what you guys are saying...I really do. But the AMA has done basically zero for the sport that they actively collect fees for licensing and  memberships...AMA MEMBERSHIPS. Why would you ask people to be a member if your main goal is not to actively promote the sport nationally? The AMA still has a lot of clout but the don't use it very effectively for MX or SX or for the riders they collect from.

Really?.....try here.....https://www.amaproracing.com

I can't help you if you think that the AMA mission statement says anything about professional racing and promoting racing....AMA Pro Racing is the sanctioning body for all professional motorcycle racing in the US and they are not the promoter...

"AMA Pro Racing is the premier professional motorcycle racing organization in North America, proudly serving as the sanctioning body for a wide array of top-tier motorcycle and ATV racing disciplines."

lol..ok. You keep defending the POS "sanctioning" body that does nothing for the sport. When there is nowhere left to ride, just suck it up.

That's their only duty huh?

Then why is their tagline "Rights, riding, racing."

AMA Pro Racing is the sanctioning body of pro racing....AMA is for the rights, riding and racing of the non-professional side...confusing I know but not really....they are separate entities that are often confused for each other...

Defending? I guess trying to explain to you the difference between two separate entities is defending....but you do you and continue to believe that the duties of the AMA and AMA Pro Racing are the same....

yal must be thinking professional moto is ran like the nba or nfl where its just 1 whole housing , moto is operated along the lines of boxing & mma where u have a sanctioned body & then u have the promoter & they go hand to hand with each other but their jobs on handling the sport is the opposite of each other

I just try not to miss an opportunity to point out how fucking worthless the AMA is to the average dirt bike rider.  They simply don't give a fuck.

I was wrong in this instance because it was about AMA Pro Racing but I will never not take a chance to point out the absolute fucking joke that the AMA is.

While I agree that Ama and Ama Pro Racing have different job duties they are entangled with each other considering you have to have a AMA membership to race an Ama sanctioned event or even get mechanic credentials! They are definitely in bed with each other!

I read that title and immediately in my head I heard….

”Unadilla Valley sports center, New Berlin New York!”

Can anyone else relate?? 🤷‍♀️

My feelings are that Feld is there to promote the professional end of MX/SX...you know make money...not the grassroots end of the sport where there is no money. The AMA sb doing this to stop BS public land closures to riding, promoting local areas to ride and make sure the sport has a future beyond watching the pros on TV. Feld won't do shit on the local side...just the professional end. I mean, wtf good is it to be an AMA member if there is nowhere to ride? How many local tracks have closed in the past 20 years...literally hundreds and hundreds with very few new ones opening. The AMA should be doing a hell of a lot more than they are.

AMA Pro Racing in Florida is/was/whatever the sanctioning body for pro motocross (sold to DMG)

AMA in Ohio is the sanctioning body for supercross.

And I agree, it is not their place to promote the athletes.

I’m not a fan of the Deegan circus but it’s good to see the sport on a bigger stage. With all of their social media background I’m surprised they went the cable tv route versus the podcast route. The AP interview on the Dale Jr podcast on YouTube has 103k views. Not sure how to check Spotify or Apple. The “stars” and the ones who can actually complete a full sentence and use proper English would be better off trying to get on podcasts outside of the sport than cable in my opinion. I also think pushing local news stations in the area the races are at that weekend would get more new fans out to the races.
