Respect for Daxton Bennick!

I really don’t follow amateur racing, and I’ve never met Daxton, but I have a ton of respect for what he accomplished last night.  Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.  From what I heard, he had been an Orange Brigade kid for a few years, competing with Deegan growing up.  After watching the trajectory of Deegan’s career (especially when compared to Vohland’s), he decided to take a chance on himself and signed a short term contract with the most successful 250 team in recent memory.  Produce quickly or get a real job.  I know it was just the first step in getting where he wants to be, but congratulations on having the balls to leave your cushy long term home and doing what you felt was necessary to achieve your long term goals.

Same; never met the kid but a big fan. I wonder if we see another situation where he was in the shadow of another guy, got beat a good amount coming up but ends up helping him in the end like Villo.

That kid rode REALLY well and looked as smooth and in control as the Team Star pros. The kids for Rockstar looked pretty damn good, too.

Great rides by the top 3. Dax looked the most in control and level headed of all. Was cool to see Casey finish on the podium. He just started racing the 250 somewhat recently and is still a B rider. I predict a bright future for him.

I think CC could have a Villopoto type career. Typically got beat as an amateur most of the time, but flips the script when it comes to the pros.

He looked so smooth in person during the day. Admittedly, I don’t follow amateur’s but he definitely stood out. He just seemed “mature” on the bike and looked like he belonged in A group qualifying.

He looked great last night! Looked real comfy on that track. Top 3 all looked like they belonged out there for sure! Future looks bright.
