Hey what’s up everyone,
Been doing a lot of searching, and have found a lot of different ways that people polish up the upper part of the Honda frame.
I’ve seen some polish creams, scotch, bright, and some other ways.
If you have done this yourself personally what is your favorite way to do it and why?
Looking to semi polish it similar to the factory bikes. So that means not trying to make it a mirror a finish type of deal.

I'm sure TokyoTiddler and maybe Mxav8r had references to the process in their build threads and they're an awesome read in general.
White Diamond is the quickest and best polish. 5-10 min to do a trk wheel. It’s sold everywhere
lol. Used to take my paps jug out of his old Peterbilt, I think it was called Speedy.
Red scotch brite, grey scotch brite, then SOS pads. Will make people think you are Chad Watts workin on Ricky's 2002.
#0000 steel wool and blue magic polish works for me
I've always just used Scotchbrite . the regular green stuff that You can grab from the kitchen. And done it from the start , everytime I wash my bike. Just a quick touch up on the frame. I did a mirror like polish 1 time and it looked great until You rode it at all. I've used WD40 and red scotch brite to get it worked in the first time. If You keep up with it every time You wash the bike, its easy to keep looking good with a minimal amount of time. One time I did the engine and linkage , etc. anything that was bare aluminium. I used the little scotchbrite discs they sell for Dremel's on the tighter areas. And I was able to get a nice straight line like pattern. Similar to what the swingarm looks like when new.

Napa aluminum brightener and sos pads or red scotch bright
Napa aluminum brightener works awesome on radiators too. Definitely dont get it on any any zinc plated stuff or any parts with a coating for any length of time.
With scotchbrite ya gotta make sure your lines are straight and you are going with the grain. Your finishing passes are a consistent stroke from end to end of the area you are working on.

Good call on avoiding the plated/ano parts.
Funny enough, I did the ol' stripping anodizing with oven cleaner the other month, worked great. Some parts did need scuffing with some 600 grit then grey scotchbrote after though.
+10 on the Napa aluminum cleaner and red white and SOS
