Indeed. The both looked wore out.

They left it out there for sure.

Credit where credit is due. That was perfect execution at the most critical moment.

I felt like so much pressure was on coop to not lose points to chace tonight.   knowing the last 2 favour chase.

He just shut down all chase’ momentum.  Needs only a podium at each race coming up..

No one can accuse ol Webster of choking under a little pressure that’s for sure.

How many other riders could do that with a championship at stake?

Straight up win under unimaginable pressure from your competition and from within your own mind.    That's the Webb I've come to appreciate over the years.

That was an, all business, cold blooded win.

Not fucking many. Webb really is disrespected. Considering who he has beat, the years he has competed, 30 SX wins/76 podiums, and all the bullshit about it's all about racecraft because he has no speed bravo to him. This championship is far from over, but Webb's performance thus far helps establish him in the patheon of the sport perhaps. Make no mistake, Sexton could still win this, but Webb is in the cat bird seat. Glad to have witnessed this championship. I really think Tomac, the Lawrences, would've had a hard time handling Webb and Sexton even without the injuries in this championship, they would've certainly had their hands full for sure.

I was really surprised that once sexton decided to jump the whoops he never tried to skim once…

My wife, who rarely watches the races,  sat down for the 450 main.   She's objective, but knows I'm a Webb fan.  She could not believe how skewed the commentary was...as if it was a given Chase was going to win.  How even when Coop was doing well, it was all about Chase.    Told her, it's typical and has been that way for as long as I can remember when it comes to Webb.        When RC isn't blowing Chase, it's Roczen....

....but here we are, the guy without the speed stands on the top step again.

Oh...and a few other things she commented on.

1.) "What the hell is with the split screen?"

2.) "That banner on the side of the screen is unfortunate"

3.) "Why are they showing 5th and 6th racing when the main battle is the leaders".

My responses:  "Yep...our broadcast is amateur hour."

I wasn't a fan of Webbs until this year.

He lifted his game in the off season with skimming the whoops and sprint lap speed.

He is such a tough nut to crack and has really earned this title.

Not sure how the year would of been with Tomac and Jett in it for the year.

Tonights ride earned him the title and was great to watch.

Well I mean Webb was beating Tomac before Tomac went out. And he's shown us he can hang with Jett. It's a long series and in the end Webb will be there most of the time.

I'm not one to throw shade at RC for all the reasons everyone else does....but man, I'm so sick of this kind of BS toward Webb.

RC during the race:   "There's nothing you can do right now if you're Cooper Webb....you just have to ride in your zone...you can't ride harder than what you can handle................Chase is gonna get by ya, you have to react from there".

How's that crow taste tonight RC?

Not only that, but vs a guy who was on fire and is one of the fastest guys ever in supercross. To show up and beat him with EVERYTHING on the line is what makes coop such a savage. Once chase made a mistake and coop heard the crowd and then saw that chase was further back he woulda got the last boost of energy to close it out. Dude feeds off of pressure and cracking other riders. Hes truely one of the greats in sx.

Sometimes I think RC is just banging his gums with absolutely no connection to the semblance of any kind of brain. No, scratch that, I don't think that, RC had proven that again and again. As far as Diffey and Will, out of 350 million citizens in this nation we have nobody that can announce Supercross and need Ausies/Brits to announce a sport the USA invented? Not to be ethnocentric, it just defies simple logic, why do we need the accents in addition to the constant gaffes?
