hey guys, just curious on your thoughts on fuel. I have always just used whatever was available at the pump whether it be 93 ethanol or 90 non-ethanol. After doing some reading I'm on if the extra price tag for the T4 would be worth it?

If it's available near you, treat yourself to 5 gallons and see what you feel. I was given a bonus from work awhile back for recruitment and spent it on T4. Ever since that has been all I run. I'm a vet rider so often times my bike will sit for weeks without running and having a fuel truly without ethanol was a big plus for me. If your pump station has ethanol and non-ethanol pumped through the same lines then you will never truly be getting non-ethanol fuel. Many pumps around me now have stickers on the non-ethanol choice that says trace amounts of ethanol are still in the fuel. I also found the bike started easier and revved cleaner all the way through the rpm range.

I haven’t tried T4 myself, mostly because Im scared I will like it and don’t know if I want to spend the money on it.

I had new valves and seats redone last month, I asked the engine builder if I should consider using T4. He told me the gas I had been using was good from the condition of the head.

I use Shell 93 with I think 10% ethanol. Always get fresh gas on the way to the track from the same station, which is a busy one.

I use T4 because my bike is tuned for it and it's necessary due to custom cams. If you are going to switch I'd say get your ECU tuned for it so you can make the switch worth it.

I switch back and forth between it and VPR. T4 stores better. Both run cleaner than pump, or AV gas that I was running before. Its worth it in my eyes

I run the VPR which is essentially leaded t4.

It’s not as expensive, carbon build up is low and the bike seems to like it.

I’ve been using VP T2 and T4 for 10 years. In my opinion, the VP fuels has a nice throttle response and especially in the 2 strokes my kids bikes run so much better. Best way to describe is a crisper snappier engine in the 65s and 85s. I think the T4 is worth the price to know I’m running quality fuel. Furthermore, if running pump gas try your best to find none ethanol fuel.

I bought my first 5 gallon can a month ago just to try it out and i honestly couldn’t really notice a difference. I normally run chevron 94 octane non ethanol fuel. I’ve tried vp u4.4 and could notice a difference with that fuel and it was roughly the same price

On a stock or nearly stock bike you won’t notice much difference in performance unless you’ve re-mapped for the specific fuel. You WILL notice a difference at how clean your engine is inside, along with your exhaust, etc.

Pump gas has a lot of crap in it.
