I'm in the market for a fancy cylinder head for a yz125 and I'm leaning towards a vhm simply because I've used them before. I'm curious about bud racing heads though. What's the quality like? Anyone here used one?

I've bought quite a few pistons off him and he's a really nice guy. I've seen that he's starting to make his own sandcast heads but I don't like that they're one piece. I like being able to play with the domes.

Maybe these guys are still around? http://www.phatheadracing.com/index.html
My KX 250 came with a Phathead and a few domes. I was skeptical at first, but it has been nothing but great. The company is nice to work with also.

I decided to support an Australian company and go with TSP anyway. Smile

RK TEK makes some bad ass looking heads ... check em out, they can get you setup with proper squish and compression for your style of riding and fuel. If you want to excitement wkth higher octane and compression you can get an additional dome insert, and swap them in and out for comparisons ... I will be getting one of their heads for next summer

Does the VHM head require a special piston ?
