Hey guys figured I'd ask. I put the sfs clamps on yesterday and this morning went out for 2,30 minute motos on local single track. I trying to calm down arm pump that im getting frequently for the first 20 to 30 minutes of a ride before it relaxes. So today I may have had a real off day but man I could not get used to the feel of the bike. I put 65 pounds in the chamber which is what I was told to start with. At least I think I did the chamber is so small you barely push the pump and you jump up 40 pounds so no idea what I lost when pulling off the pump. I was struggling to hold a line bouncing around had a tough time. Have you guys found this system takes some getting used to. I know I need more time but I felt so off. Not a great day all around put a new wheel set on as well that im hoping to race next weekend and Rotors are bad or something had little to no brakes. Any set up help would be appreciated. Thanks guys Shawn

I set mine at 70 psi when I got them a few months ago and haven't touched them since. Steering was exactly the same, but that little twinge from the air forks is gone. Worked really well so far and has definitely helped with arm pump.

Really impressed, many times after market stuff doesnt fit well or work as advertised, these do both.

For the pressure setting, always set any pressures by going higher and then letting some air out.... it's just the same when your doctor takes your blood pressure.

I run mine at 105. Any less and I bottom them out a lot. I only notice them when I bottom them out hard. You don’t lose any when you unhook the pump, only when you hook it up.

I always run my forks at the 3rd line for cornering and that's kind of how my valving is set but im thinking I should maybe drop a line and try it. Bar seems close to my motion pro bleeders on top of the tubes and I think Im gonna hit if I bottom.

I think you are on a SX-F 350 judging by the pic, which is similar to my FC 350. I have the same clamp, and run 110-115 psi in mine, for both moto and woods riding. IF you run a lower psi, you will bottom out the clamps and they will feel really sloppy.

Which clamps are they? Full air or air/spring? Does it make a difference as far as air pressure goes?

The clamps full air. I think I will up the air pressure as well. The shop said 65 but they race desert and hard enduro which I do as well but I race Moto fairly often so more pressure I think will give me a better base to start with given I coming from a standard clamp.

I’m guessing Mike and Tino told you to run it that low? I live in Snowmass and do not run it that low. 80 psi for single track and 100 to 110 psi for track. Where do you live in SMV?

Edit:I am running spring/air

Yup Mikes setup. Im now running 85 pounds and its so much better. Mike revalved my forks and I had to have them redone they were so soft. I hate my air forks as it is and I was going to do the spring conversion but they talked me into re valving first. I wish I did the conversion.I live up Faraway

I have the dal Soggio Sphere Kit installed by Motovate racing in Rifle. Please ride my bike and see if you like. He also has had a ton of luck with the K tech spring conversion.

I was the dude in Jeep telling you how rad your bike was. We own a Mountain View condo.

Right on my buddy Paul has the Dal Soggio as well. Right now I think I'm looking for a used trax shock to try. I don't have time right now to send my shock off so if you see anything let me know. I pm a guy on here selling an Öhlins shock which Ive heard good things but got no response so far.

Bumping this thread. I just bought a used set of Neken clamps for my bike. Going to experiment a bit with pressure, I was told 100-125psi. Does anyone know if you can remove the bar mounts, and if so how? I didn’t want to mess anything up and I didn’t see any how to’s.

The air/spring bar mounts are fairly easy to remove, but the air only ones are a lot more difficult. Why do you want to remove them?

How are you suppose to service the all air version? I'm pretty dissappointed as I've had a couple SFS air top clamps. Seems like the only way in the US is to send them to Buds but that's pretty pricey.

I couldn’t get a socket on the stem nut with the bar mounts. I ended up just buying a wrench instead of messing with trying to remove the mounts.
