I have been looking at some new treads for my CRF250 I went to my local shop and decided on the MX51 for the rear. Was digging around for a front tire and saw the MX51FA and also looked at the MX31 for a front, both looked pretty aggressive. Any feed back welcome.

I don't know to much about them.....I ran the 51's once....and thought they were not as good as the 756's......I have settled with the bridgestone int combo....very happy.

Once you ride on Pirelli's, you will never use anything else. Use an int/soft front everywhere, and int/soft rear on sandier loamier tracks, and an int/hard rear on hardpack tracks. Great tyres, awesome grip and very good tyre life.

Go with a mx51 for the front , I run mx51's on front/rear front tire is holding up great After half a season of racing, great traction also on hard pack and soft loamy tracks

mx51 and 403 front suck balls...

im with the guy claiming pirelli, and i love the michelin ms3/mh3 fronts too.

personally i get along with most rear tires, the fronts need to feel right and neither the dunlop or the bridgestone do. i ride 2 strokes though, and maybe something about the 4 stroke weight balance has something to do with front tire selection...

just my opinion.

I'm getting ready to put new tires on my 450 and I agree with mynewcr250, the MX51 front sucks balls. That POS doesn't inspire any confidence whatsoever.

I've always liked the 403/404 combo but I'm seriously considering giving the Perelli mid/soft's a shot. I've heard nothing but rave reviews for them and I think they'll be great for the south Texas soil....

The new Pirelli mid-hard 554 front is real good, totally different than the old mid-hard 454 which lost side knobs like crazy. I'm running MH554 front with MxExtra rear at the moment. I will probably try the MH554 rear next.

I agree with that, but the last MT32 rear I got 4 months ago is already showing signs of chunking on the side knobs.. Never experienced this so soon with Pirellis so maybe it was a bad run.

my friends mxms rear did the same. 1 run at cahuilla and the thing had torn every side knob, not to the point of ripping off but you can see the tears...i mean 1 day? at a sand track? worked really well though, maybe thats the price you pay.

I've used MT32's for the last 5-6 years and never had one come apart like the rear on my bike now.

Thanks for the input, for 76 bux on rockymountainatvmc.com I will try my luck with the MX51 rear. Since my local track is better fit for snowcross I still have time to work on the bike !

We have had great luck with Kenda's "Millville II" front & rear combo. The Washougal rear works well with the Millville II front.

We ran the Millville II's on Zach & Trace's 125's all season with no chunking problems!

The Millville II on Zach's 125.

The Washougal on the 250.

The 125 with the Kenda Millville's F&R at Swan MX.
