What's up everybody, so I'm looking to get a new lid for next year, I have a fox v3 right now and wanting something different. What's everyone's opinion? fox v4? shoei vfx-w? troy lee se3? fly? or any others.. Such a hard decision. And yes I would love to buy a 6D but they are too expensive and I know the Shoei is an awesome helmet but I kind of want something that not everyone at the track already has.. Any opinions would be awesome, I'm curious to see what everyone likes..

Can't go wrong with any of those helmets. I would put bell and shoei above the others though. Pick which ever one looks the coolest to you Wink

I really like the troy lee se3 because I found a good deal on one that I like but none of the dealers in my area carry troy lee so im not sure on the size to get and haven't really heard of anything about the se3 compared to the shoei or the bell moto 9 and I heard the v4 doesn't feel comfortable on your head.. such a hard decision.

If safety is your main concern, I would only recommend Shoei, Arai or 6D. Arai has just launced a new model but if you're on a budget I'm sure you can find a good deal on the older VX-3.

The V4 is a nice upgrade if you're coming from a V3. But my best advice is to try them all before you decide which one you are going to buy.

Maybe you should try to find some different helmets and see how they fit on your head then look for a color/design that you like

I love the fox v3 Im not a fan at all of the troy lee helmets. They dont fit my head at all. I just got a new shoei, and even though they are expensive, its by far the most comfortable lid ive ever worn

I'm not that concerned by the way they look, I'm looking for peoples opinions on the way they feel and there quality. I tried on the v4 and it doesn't feel like my v3 at all and I rode with a shoei and liked it but everyone and there mom has one, I would like to try the troy lee se3 out before I buy one but no where around me sells them. I rode with an aria, not sure which model but it felt really close to my face and I didn't really like it. Thanks for the opinions everyone, if anyone has an se3 or v4 let me know how you like it or an other good quality helmets you guys recommend. any imput is apprieciated

Alexmorris , if it helps I thing the troylee helmets fit people better that have " bigger" heads. Maybe im wrong n this may sound stupid but my head is more round lol, the v3 n the shoeis fit really nice ive tried tje new se on n their not as snug on my head. No matter what size. Hope it helps. Check out the new shoei "bam bam" helmets. WOW!

So if I wear a size medium v3 and it fits pretty good but is just a little tight in the cheek pads, do you think a large se3 will be too big?

I had a Fly F2 Carbon last year and liked it a lot but had a few hard bangs on the 'ol noodle and figured I would try an Airoh Avaiator this time around. They sounded pretty sweet. It was that or a 6D in my opinion as the best.... Look what Zach Bell did in that 6D with no concussion

Check out Suomy. Not very popular in the US, but very popular overseas. I wore one about 6 years ago and really liked the fit, and it was fairly light. Use it now for my jet ski helmet.

All the helmets I listed fit my head fine. I had a shoei 2 years ago, TLD se3 last year, a bell moto 9 carbon which I destroyed, and now I run a 6D. Each one was comfortable. Never tried an Arai but I've always heard they were nice

Aria, Shoei, 6D, Airoh, Fox, or Bell.

I am interested in the Shoei and Airoh. Currently own Bell

BTO is having a sale on Moto-9s right now. $500 helmet for under 3, but the designs are a little loud. I have two Moto-9s right now and love them.

My son was wearing an EVS when he crashed and he rolled 100+ feet down a hill while hitting his head a lot and he didn't get a concussion, head ache, etc. He dented the helmet too! They feel close on your face but you will get used to it. One Industries seems to have a good concept going on with their top of the line helmet. Airohs, bells, and 6D are great
