Woman dies after stray bullet hits her in Bonney Lake shooting
KING 2:37 PM. PDT November 04, 2016

BONNEY LAKE, Wash. -- A woman died Friday after she was hit in the head by a stray bullet late Thursday night. The shooter was firing at someone who was stealing his car, sheriff's deputies said.

A man heard his car being stolen from the front of his house around 11 p.m. The Pierce County Sheriff's Office said the owner fired several shots and thought he hit the car, but the driver got away,

One of the bullets hit the woman who was in her bed, two blocks away. She was pronounced dead Friday.

The shooter was arrested for investigation of assault.

Detectives located the man's stolen car abandoned, about a mile from the home. The rear window was shot out. No one has been arrested for the theft.

My aunt almost got shot by a stray bullet. She lives out in the sticks and her idiot neighbor was teaching his kid to shoot a rifle, shooting towards the houses rather than the mountains. Wizzed across her chest as she was working the BBQ, into the house and hit the TV.

Sad about this woman. Even if someone was stealing my rig, I don't think I'd go to shooting. My life ain't in danger.

That shooter should have the book thrown at him. You can't kill someone because they're stealing your property. That's why he has insurance.

That was an idiot with a gun. Not a good guy.

Stiffen up the penalties for irresponsibility with guns. Maybe that will help stop the BS.

Anyone dumb enough to shoot at someone stealing a car shouldn't own a gun. (Unless the driver is threatening serious bodily injury or death to someone else of course) this is what makes the gun debate so difficult. A lot of people are very responsible and have every right to own and possess a gun. But a lot of people also shouldn't be anywhere near a gun.

Meanwhile, 300 people were shot in Chicago last week, but nobody wants to use those deaths to make a political point, because it would lead to a lot of uncomfortable truths about who commits the majority of gun crimes in America. Those deaths can't be blamed on the NRA lol.
