Anyone have a cool build going in this winter? Unfortunately my shoulder is out for the winter and can't get surgery until April. I've started pulling my bike apart and cleaning everything. It's the only thing that will keep me sane the next 6 months...

I just picked up a 2003 CR250, that I'm going to make look identical to my 125.

I am going to tear down my trusty 07 CR250 and send the jug off for some porting. I hope to get it back together as clean as yours is coming apart. Cool

I just picked up a leftover KTM 125 and I'm going drop in a 2004 200SX engine.
Should be a fun bike.

I thought about doing the same with my Ktm. I have started my winter project but it is now in boxes. Need a few more parts then I'll start the build. It will be more like a year project.

I'll be pulling mine apart shortly just to grease everything and PC the frame.I didn't want to go with the same stock PC everyone else has so I had ordered like 15 swatches and finally decided on Illusion Twisted Tangerine, it looks sick asf in the sun. The swatch looks a bit darker than these pictures but it matches the plastics nicely.

You can make open class starts your bitch! Rolling the start helps. Make it a 212 will your at it. Pipe is a dead give away in the 125 class. It looks like a raccoon stuffed inside it. Ktm talk has all the info you need on 125 to 200 builds.

I race the old and slow class, but I will leave the 125 stickers on it just for fun.
Used to race an 04 200SX and outside of the start I had some of my best races against the 250s and 450s on that bike.
Hoping with the modern chassis it will be even better.

Plan is to get going on my 1994 cr250 restomod project. Side jobs and racing bmx with my daughters have consumed my summer. It will be nice to rip an old steelie again after years of aluminum.

Thinking of selling my 2005 yz125 and trying to find a 2008+yz250. Lot more forsale in the winter and better chance of selling mine

That is a sweet 125. Did you sand the rims? They look so clean, along with the frame and swingarm.

Hopefully complete what I started last winter. Have the white Peak graphics printed up. Just need some white plastics, new rims, maybe a new shock and some other stuff.

I'm still pinching pennies but I want to buy this... And turn it into something like this, with gsxr forks

If you want to build something like that, the single thumpers are much easier to deal with. Like TT500 or SR500. I build a CB400 then realized how much 4 carbs and 4 pipes suck. So I went to a Triumph 650, then some smaller thumpers...
