Everyone was talking about 2nd place...it was like it was a done/deal.....and James made that come true. How amazing is James Stewart on a SX track?

That guy just makes me shake my head. 16 years now.

Yep. Ive never seen a better SX rider ever, and Ive been watching 'em since the Hannah days in the Astrodome. He makes it look effortless.

Yep, all the best in their crafts make the impossible seem effortless and even easy. It's ridiculous!

Hell, guitar players out there, watch Eddie VanHalen play then try it yourself! He makes playing look effortless too!

James is our Eddie VanHalen! Smile

im not saying he's the new King (race wins will say otherwise) but id def say he's faster than the King even in his best days and he still does things that make you go how did he do that ! ... Fastest man on a SX/MX track no doubt.... Cool

And I don't think James has even hit his prime yet! That's scary!! What is he? 23 yrs old?

I mean to think that he was giving RC all he could handle at 18 & 19 yrs old when RC was in his prime. That's amazing in itself!

It'll be a long time before we see another rider with the same type of skills James has.....and for most us , i don't think we'll see another rider like that in our life time. It went the same with RC in the outdoors........complete domination plain and simple!

Stewarts worse day is faster than MC's best day. Stewart is a one of a kind talent. We will never see what he does on a SX track again after he shuts it down.

I can remember the last time RC raced against James in Reliant Stadium,, you could tell Ricky was pushing himself to run the pace and James honestly looked like he was playing around and was walking away. Impeccable timing on those SX obstacles and blitzing whoops like Ive never seen.

James is incredibly fast on a sx track. He has the potential to beat the kings record. One thing the king has on him is crashing,What did Jeremy have in his whole career,3 crashes?I have to agree James is the fasest Ive ever seen since my first super cross in 76.Each generation learns from the previous generation ,so perhaps we will see some one faster than James.Who ever that might be ,they had better start eating their wheaties now!!

The guy is unbelievable. For that matter, he's unbelievable outdoors, too. RC will always be the GOAT, but I really think James has more pure speed overall, especially indoors. He just doesn't quite have the same self-control that RC had - RC could ride exactly 99.9%, James can't keep himself from going 100.1% every now and then and winding up on his head. If James thinks he can shave another 0.1 second, he can't help himself, he has to try.

Not any more. He has matured just like RC did.

James is the inventor of the scrub..RC while he could do it was more of a pin it and flat land it kind of guy hence the domination outdoors. James always seemed to manage a couple 10th more than RC and Reed but those 10ths also put him on the ground and he didn't prove to be as bulletproof as when guys like RC meet the ground my 2 cents

I've always said and think, that crash at high point in 2006 derailed James' potential with racing with RC outdoors. I think if that crash would not have happened, RC would not have dominated him so much outdoors. He became "gun shy" after that crash and took him a couple of seasons to get going again outdoors. well, you know what they say about ifs and buts. JMHO

Now that being said, who in the history of the sport does James compare to in terms of natural abilities? Not saying he doesn't work his tail off, but come on, somethings are natural with the kid!!!
