VonZipper

I recently bought a few pair of porkchop goggles from VonZipper, and once they got to my house via UPS the got stolen off my front porch. After going through the hassle of dealing with UPS they told me I needed to contact VonZipper in order to see what I could do. Called Vonzipper customer service and the guy I talked to was pretty chill and told me who I needed to get in touch with. After I sent my email to the right personal The got back me within 30 minutes and told me they will send me a new order without any problems. Needless to say I was super pumped on having the issue resolved quickly. It wasn't their fault and they didn't even have to help me out but the did. They 2dayed my new order and I will be receiving my goggles tomorrow which is awesome. So a HUGE thanks to VonZipper for helping me out and I am forever a customer of theirs from now on.

Good on VZ. That kind of customer support can be hard to come by sometimes in this industry.

P-Lo and the rest of the VZ crew I've met are good moto peeps, so it's no surprise to me that they would handle this in a classy manner. Good on them for helping with something that wasn't even their bad. Ohh, and thieves suck!

You will like the porkchops. I've been wearing them for 3 years now. Great goggle. Dont tear up and the band doesnt stretch.

I use to run their beefy goggles until i had a lens pop out (not a dig against VZ, just thin lexan lenses) and scratched my eyeball. That scared me and i switched to airbrakes for the rigid lens. Vz is apparently coming out with injected lens versions of the porkchop and beefy and I'm so freaking stoked to get into those. Great to see others jumping on board with better eye protection.

But I'm wondering why you even called them? They already did their job once... you can't find out who is stealing off your porch?

On a side note- by doing this they should have you as a customer for LIFE

I called them because ups told me to call them. I though ups would have handled the situation but they didn't. but VZ does have me as a customer for life

Super stoked to come on here and see that our customer service crew handled this for you. It's one of those things that we truly never get to hear when it turns out on a positive note.

Many people don't realize how long the people behind VZ have been in this game. It goes back to the 90's and everyone that was behind the legendary Armette brand. They sold to Luxottica in 98 and 2yrs later VZ was born. Greg "GT" Tomlinson had a vision and 16yrs later it's still rolling up hill. VZ was born at a time when eyewear was super techy and no one was having very much fun with the category. GT had all the manufacturer relationships from goggles to Italian made sunnies, the very best reps, designers and products in the game and this allowed him to truly build a "life of the party" brand. Again....without good products the fun could not go on. Look for the Fasthouse COlab and the I-Type injected lens out mid November.

Thanks for the kind words Michael and hey....if you see a VZ EZ up cruise on over and say hello!!

Popping in again to say thanks for not being associated with luxottica.

And to TheGetFresh...not cool to hear about your lens. There was a batch of lenses that were cut shallow and was addessed immediately not just by us, but also from our manufacturer (same manufacturer that we've used since early VZ days and longer. Also the same manufacturer of some of the newer goggle brands as well as older brands) we also upped the durometer (think harder or
Softer skateboard wheels) of the frame to stiffen up and allow for a much firmer clasp from lens to frame.

The IType goggle is easily up to par with other injected lens goggles. The goggle category is Virtually based on a pass or fail whether it's lens, to dirt, to fit. It's simple yet ultra crucial as anyone that's raced a DirtBike knows and especially against modern 450cc bikes. The modern 450 is the absolute only reason for the injected lenses aside from of course the gnarly woods guys who are seriously bad dudes! It's funny because a first time
Rider on a 450 can bust your face pretty good so it doesn't matter how fast you are, that's sure!! They're actually the worst!hahaha

VZ is on the come up. Good dudes over there and they support cool riders!

Thanks for the response, P.

Lexan lenses in general just sort of turned me off at that point even though they were the industry standard. Really excited to see you guys do the beefy with an injected lens and none of the overdone and pricey parts like the outriggers and hinges. Will buy some for sure.

How long til you start shipping tinted lenses? The VZ light smoke was always nice cause the regular smoke for most companies is a little too dark for my taste.

Are you referring to the IType Smoke lens or standard smoke lens? If so we will have clear, smoke, grey chrome to kick off the IType offerings.

It's funny because quite a few of our riders are going to smoke because of that exact reason you mentioned. Quite a few Am racers are finally realizing the Smoke is less expensive, looks good and doesn't scratch up nearly as easy.

Good t know. The site only shows the black and white with clears right now. Probably just because it's pre launch

You just blew my mind with you referring to a Greg Tomlinson that goes by GT. That is my uncle's name and what we've always called him as well. Definitely not the same person though.

Props to VZ for replacing them.

It's not VZ's fault or UPS fault. Both companies did their job. VZ shipped the product. UPS delivered it to your front door. It is neither companies fault or responsibility to compensate you for having packages stolen.

Go down to Costco today and go get the RING video doorbell so you can keep an eye on your stuff.

And that's how it's done at the manufacturer level. Good info and straight answers.

That's awesome to hear! Most people only post the bad stories and not the good. VZ went above what they needed to do. Great to hear and thanks for posting. I will be checking them out.
