The first time I met Tyler Gantt, he was wearing diapers. Damn I feel old. I used to race with his Dad. Cool to see Archer and Schmelyun out there!

Are they really not going to till the track into a rut fest?! I hope not! Just keep it wet enough to keep the dust down and leave it alone!

They built up sections/faces which makes budds very easy in sections compared to the last few practice days. Most notably section right after mechanics area beside the start leading to that step up all the way around to the finish.

Awesome track, rode there for the first time this year.

Budds Creek is not a freeway! Lots of braking bumps on the downhills. I ride there a few times a year and the track is at its worst when they till it up so deep the straights have ruts the entire length and the face of every jump is nothing but one rut after another. Left basically alone (a little track prep is fine), that track is a gnarly, rough track.

sorry didn't mean budds is a freeway, i have no personal experience of the place

just meant i like to watch the best go at on a technical track....high point looked nasty some long ass ruts got to give it up to the guys who are quick in those

Thanks for the video Matt. It was nice to see some different guys out there. Shows me why those guys deserve a better paycheck than they get now.

On press days at the nationals (Thursdays), the track has been normally dry. Here at Budds, the track did get watered a lot Thursday night for Friday amateur practice. With weather looking perfect here, I expect a perfect track at Budds Creek for Saturday. It's press day, not race day.

Josh Grant made a comment in his lap video regarding jumps being "bigger" in the past. How big were they because this track seems like a RV blowout?

pulling for tyler to make it into the national, hope he has some good sleep and shows up with his a game.

as far as budds being a freeway, not even close. they will water it tonight and tommorow morning. its already tilled deep and ready to rut up. weather is going to be perfect tommorow, I expect one of the best budds rounds in the last ten years as long as rv doesnt pull a top 5 start
