I was definitely surprised.
But I was stoked to see Top Jimmy make the main, he definitely had to work for it.

Yeah, I can't see Mitch being too happy about putting all that work into a guy who isn't gonna make mains.

We'll see though, the season is young and the field is packed, if he stays healthy I'm sure he'll have some good rides by the end of the year.

Bigger question is if he was allowed a year to defend his title do you think he would win Lites West this year? I doubt it.

Mitch does care, but he is smart. PC rider's pay is very results-based, rather than a fixed salary. It keeps riders hungry for wins, and it also keeps him from shelling out top dollar to someone who isnt winning.

i bet his over enthusiastic podium speech has the same tone as his not making the main speech.

not hatin, just sayin... Meg handed over the keys to the back door, only stipulation was tickle making the main.

i can see that, i guess i just expected more of an effort then what he has shown, considering the resources that he has.

I was disappointed by his performance, considering he was the lites champ and is on the best equipment.

Tickle is doing right about what I personally thought he would. Last year Hansen pretty much had him covered until the broken hand breakdown. That being said isn't it kinda funny Josh Hansen is still getting the same results he did way back in 2008 for JGR but now he's getting praised for it. Back then it was a disappointment he wasn't finishing higher than 10th every week.

I'm wondering how good that PC 450 really is. Is it a factory bike?

Didn't surprise me. I hate to say it, but I feel like Tickle's days of being a top guy ended after he won the SX championship last year.

Just think PC 250 that Wilson, Rattray etc. ride with a 450 motor in it.

Sure, the 250's are the best bikes in that class. But is that 450 a PC tuned production bike, or does it have the factory goodies? Remember how much Reed improved his performance last year when he got the full factory bike from Honda?

I think you will see this more with some big names throughout the year. Josh Grant DNQ as well.

Here's a shocker for you. Fast guys will be sitting on the sidelines at just about every race this year.

unfortunately it's the fall out of making guys move up to the big boy class with the AMA rule changes a few years back. I still think it's good for the sport and the competition depth.

He was fast... just got a bad start in the LCQ but came from waay back to third and nearly got Jimmy A. RV didn't qualify last year remember....

He didn't not qualify becasue he wasn't fast enough!

The 20 fastest guys are not always in the main this year.
