I was told that my friend terry varner had a heartatck while @ the REM race track all I know is that hes in the hospital in and induced coma any information and prayers for terry .

Just heard this from a friend of the family:

"He's in the ICU and his family requested no visitors right now but I was informed he's doing much better ."

When I found out the news this morning I called someone who I knew was at the race and they said the paramedics thought he had less than a 5% chance to make it to the hospital alive yesterday. Considering that, hearing the news this morning he is improving is amazing. Varner is tough, he will pull through. Wishing him the best.

He typically races the REM track almost every weekend. They said he finished both of his motos and was just standing there and then suddenly collapsed. Pretty scary.

I just got the same news that he is breathing on his own and talking thanks Jim Bynum for keeping me informed and thank you every body else its hard being on the other end of the us and not knowing any thing.

I hate to hear this, but glad to know he's doing better. Worked on some stuff with Terry in the '90s when he was with FMF and he's a good dude. Always friendly and always helpful. Wishing him the best. We're all getting a little time under our belts.

Varner is a great guy - did my first mod motor back in 1986 - he was building quad motors back then for Gary Denton. The guy lives and breaths dirt bikes, some people just work in the industry, this guy lives it and still loves to ride whenever he can.
