James grew up in bartow florida, very high crime rate and not much money in places like that. Heres a crime rate chart in bartow, you wanna look at the beginning of the chart and remember US average is 301. The crime rate has slowly gone down, in the late 80s early 90s is when stewart was there. The crime rate was much higher back then.

Its not that the stewart family could not afford it, they literally LIVED in a ghetto neighbourhood with a high crime rate. they didnt just use it as an excuse. And if stats dont lie, they yes stewart like i have beeb saying lived in the ghetto.

Or, his legacy is that he's beat Stewart for every championship raced except for SX '09 (I think) Whistling

RV is a better racer than Stewart, but Stewart is a better rider. The Fans like different things, have different tastes, and are motivated by different goals for the rider they like & support. This discussion isn't really winnable between those two because they're special in their own way.

What I'm surprised about is why hasn't Stefan Everts been mentioned.

I never said they didnt live in the ghetto, never been there, have you? ghetto is unemployed, strugglin, high crime , no food ,arrests so your excuse for them struggling is bs, If it was that bad , they would have sold all rhe stuff and moved, having a dirt bike is not a top priority if your atruggling. And since 2010 dungey and rv have been the best 450 riders in sx,mx in the usa.

Has villopoto went 23-1 on a 125 against mainly 250f's
Even in amateur rankings, does poto have 11 loretta titles?
Villopoto knows how to win championships but James is a much more impressive rider and especially considering where they started from, in the ghetto with almost no money, etc. He was not accepted into the sport as a youth yet still pushed hard and earned respect from most, except you.
I mean you hate on stewart in way to many other threads so i dont think many people will take you very seriously when your talking about stew

also, my spelling sucks..

1. No he hasn't. He's never had his main competition be Tim Ferry, Andrew Short, Cody Cooper, and Mike Alessi. Against similar competition, Dungey won 20 motos in 2010 as a rookie. Villopoto did win 18 out of 24 though against Dungey, Stewart, Barcia, and Canard.

2. No he hasn't. He never rode a 125 vs 250f's.

3. You're right. Loretta Lynn's Championships need to be considered when ranking careers. Alessi has joined the conversation of greatest ever and Cianciarulo is already there.

4. I also wasn't aware that where they started from is being taken into consideration when determining who had the best career, nor was I aware that most impressive meant better career.

5. I disrespect and hate on Stewart? Can you please show me some examples where I do that?

6. Hey look! We agree on something! Your spelling does suck, and your grammar goes right along with it.

7. Villopoto has lost one championship to Stewart in his entire career. The 2009 SX Championship. Every other championship they both lined up for, Villopoto beat Stewart.

8. Next time you come in here throwing around false accusations, be prepared to back it up.
Go to page 8,9,10 of your posting history, full of "james is a cheater, he MUST be suspended from racing". "Not sure HOW THEY ACCEPTED HIS...
Go to page 8,9,10 of your posting history, full of "james is a cheater, he MUST be suspended from racing". "Not sure HOW THEY ACCEPTED HIS TUEs he needs to be suspended" and actually just look at every post you have made on a JS7 thread and it proves my point. Let the people in charge decide what his fate is, not you.

Second, your talking shit to a 16 year old about his grammar on a motocross site and thread, get a fucking life

yes where they started from comes into consideration because of how hard it was to get where they were. Stewart has had to battle racism, unacceptance and booing at many northeast motocross round in the early 2000s, especially unadilla..

Villopoto has also had to make some wise decisions like to filter his dad out of his life for a number of years to help with his career.

My point is since you are clearly not understanding is how the fuck can you organise a top 5 in order when all the riders careers have been so drastically different and at different time periods. equiptment was different, lineups were different, TRACKS were different!!!! there is no way someone can order a top 5 list IN ORDER like you are trying to do. Every past champion is a legend and i am not a believer in whos better than who because to be honest, they all have done 1 thing and that is win championships and make history. All the guys listed have made history multiple times. Im not gonna argue any more because there is really no point. And what false accusations?

My point was villopoto has not gone 23-1 on a 250f against 250fs while stewart went 23-1 on a 125 against 250fs. And yes amateur careers do affect someones careers.. no real way of explaining it.. thats why there is so much hype around guys like cianciarulo or even when alessi first turned pro.. oh and yea, alessi i would put as one of the greatest riders of all time, hese been runner up in 2 450 motocross championships, won heat races thats something not many riders have done.

Oh and i really dont care if he won 18 out of 24 motos because thats not a perfect season nor is 20 out of 24.

My original reply to your comment should have been, "How can any logical person rank past champions in a top 5?
Thank you so much for that. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Yeah that pretty much is dead on..

But what i wanna say is you cant rank riders in order from whos the best and down.. So many things have changed between the legends its crazy.. This topic is pretty much the peak of the off season

If RC, RV, JS, and MC all raced in the same era on the same bikes and were all in their prime, I doubt you'd be able to predict the winner (with the exception of getting lucky) based on their stats. Each one of them would have an equal chance of beating the other three on any give day. Keep in mind, not every race is someone's best performance. Even champions have bad days
