A couple of years ago Gary Semics asked me to look back through the archive for some pics that show corner speed so he could pick one for the cover of his Cornering DVD to show technique.

Here's some pics from the stash I sent...

I hate tall people but Windhams style is both textbook and awesome in its own right. Not boring to watch, just smooth and effortless.

I dont think Dungey is particulary exciting to watch, he is fast but he is so "perfect" that he rarely crashes and doesnt look like hes going fast at all.

Turn leg forward, lead with your head, and look to where you want to be - plus increased courage and your corner speed will gradually increaseSmile

Back in 2010 at Lakewood. I thought these 2 were pretty textbook. I miss watching them battle...

Here's a snapshot I took of Tedesco leading Red Bud in 09, it just screams corner speed.

I know that all of the pic's are of fast cornering but the majority of the first batch are so 'frozen' they don't actually get the speed across. The last three are superb though - especially the Tedesco one!

Yes and my son gets to see this 1st hand quite a bit now. I tell him study it and try and follow his lines "try to follow huh" yeah right Dad!!

Timmy and Kyle Chisholm have a very smooth and fluid style through the corners, they don't look fast but put a stop watch on them and you do a double take.

I'm a total amateur NOOB photographer. Here's a few pics I snapped this year at the last round of the Aussie MX Nationals, trying to capture corner speed. I'm still working on sharpness and focus

Everts makes cornering look easy! The fact that he's cranked over, standing on the pegs and on the gas makes this pic look fast to me.

So there's cutting down and turning hard fast corner speed.

and then there's sweeping the outside corner speed

and then there's railing and flipping everyone off corner speed.

I always love watching RV2 rip a berm or just any corner really, the way he plants the back wheel is just awesome to watch

Man, all those photos are good.... Just as winter sets in here up north you guys drop all those photos that make us want to ride.

And FTE, that J-Law horizontal pic from Glen Helen is maybe your best ever. Just stunning.

This one came to mind for me. It's a Simon Cudby shot from Unadilla 2009. Amazing capture.
