I have to say the new starting line pyros were really cool looking, I couldn't imagine trying to get a holeshot with flames going up all over the place.

It's hard to believe how much heat they put out though. When I can feel the heat 200' away, that's a dangerous thing.

They had some interesting pyrotechnics at Millville last year also.

It all started here.

I liked the multi colored flame throwing thing, that was pretty neat. I was sitting on the side opposite the finish line and we felt the heat pretty well. I'd say the riders and flagmen really felt it.

I like them but dont think they should be igniting them before the gate drops.

I doubt they were a distraction. I thought they looked cool.

Got to put some kind of pizzaz in there, especially when you have such quick lap times.

Do the new ones make the scratching sound the flame thrower did?

You dont think the heat/flamage/screatching over your head might distract you? My wife has never raced and she said the same thing.

I would like to see more racing and less circus.

The flame cannon is pretty gnarly to stand near on the floor. We were within 40' or so in SF...which actually wasn't too bad since it was chilly there. Wink
