With that being said....we ( as in the American Nationals ) are falling behind a little here with not having a 125 class. It's the most important stepping stone mx class there is , for kids stepping up from the 85cc/ super mini class. Instead they hop right on a modded 45 - 50hp 250F.
We need this class and as far as I'm concerned , and getting rid of it at a national level was a crime against this sport!
These fast kids need to get there feet wet in front of thousands of people on machines they are some what familar with. Just my $.02.
Don't get me started on a 125 National class though.
Don't get me wrong, from a spectator standpoint I'd love to see a 125 class at the Nats, but the stepping stone deal seems like it's already been covered by MXSports and the AMA in some respects.
The GP's have figured this out and realize how important this class is. This isn't a 2 stroke rant....it is a plea to bring back the most important stepping stone class ever created , and put them on the big stage.

I'm all for the 125 Pro class, just think that the "transition" thing has been addressed pretty well by MXSports.
Like cricketts when you call out a new anon guy. Funny stuff.
I think any 16 year old who can earn a pro license, can ride a 250F just fine. Unless, the 125 class is replacing the 250F class, it just doesn't make much sense.
now, for what it's worth, I'm all for getting rid of 4 strokes completely, at any level, because I completely disagree with them philosophically, but I'm not delusional (I'm not not saying your delusional Jeffro)
edit: I misunderstood. You we're talking about running an amateur event along side of that, but in that case, I'll refer to my logistics comment above.
And yes , i was getting at wanting a 125 AM class on Nationals day for a limited amount of Races. Just like what the GP's do. It's big over there and seems to be very popular.
I never intended anyone to think i was pushing for a 125 pro class.
