I wrote to the gentleman at Rekluse (Charles) that I worked with directly, but I wanted to be sure to publicly thank him as well because I feel he and Rekluse deserve the credit.
Back in November, I ordered a core exp. 3.0 kit to refurbish the worn out Core EXP 3.0 that I already had installed on my '15 KTM 250sxf. The parts arrived, I installed them and for the next 2 months - the bike was not operating properly. Stalling out. Setting free play was a nightmare. No torque.. etc. multiple days of riding completely ruined. I had talked to the customer service group at Rekluse and we couldn't figure out the issue regardless of what troubleshooting we tried. Finally, they got the R&D team involved and we started taking very specific measurements with a micrometer. We discovered that despite my order being correct, they had packaged and mailed me the wrong parts.
So the clutch components I had ordered and installed and ridden on were now absolutely destroyed. The steel clutch basket had filed down the proprietary EXP disk and turned the engine oil into an aluminum filled glitter goop. Metal shavings EVERYWHERE in the engine. Rekluse advised I take the bike to whatever shop I wanted, drop it off and they would pay for ALL SERVICES related to fixing the issue.
I took the bike to Carolina KTM in NC, and they tore down the entire thing. Split cases. Full transmission inspection. replaced some worn components. I opted for a new top end while they were already in there (paid for separately). When the bike was ready for pickup, I rolled it into the truck, signed some paperwork that it was now in my possession and Rekluse arranged for payment to Carolina KTM.
The bike now runs flawlessly and I'm so greatly appreciative of Rekluse's customer service. Thanks Charles.
I can try to add more photos later if anyone would like me to.
