We caught up with him to see how he's doing following the devastating foot injury he suffered at Jacksonville last year.

Izzi grew on me as the season went on last year with his hard-charging rides and,
by the time at JAX when I witnessed his awful get-off, I was stoked on the lad.
Love hearing of guys overcoming and persevering. Can't wait to see him ride,
I dig that kid. Two things I'd like to see him do tho, that would help his program:
1. Put some black rimmage on that beetch. Cmon man, this ain't June,1979.
Silver rims are tres' GAY.
2. Change number to 1221. That would be so flippin' casual.
Category five (5) casual, actually. Holla.
Seriously, there is waaaay too much drama in Cali.
You can't swing a cat at Danny Dolan at the In 'N Out without some
punk-ass lesbian Quaker gangster in high-heeled Sketchers
with a blue-tooth and an Abercrombie thong - screaming
some random obscure Spongebob soundtrack in
a lispy Guatemalan gang drawl whilst slinging fajitas
out of the blacked -out windows of a pristine '82 Cutlass.
Looks like hes got an awesome attitude now! I'm gonna be pulling for him.

I did see Nico's foot, and I'm not sure which was worse. The hole left where the bone came through, or the giant zipper scar that runs along the bottom edge of his foot, and up to his ankle from the surgery afterward. That was a brutal injury.
The drama? Nico told me that maybe there are just too many guys who live off of one freeway exit. They not only race together on the weekends, but they ride the same tracks during the week, eat at the same restaurants, and see each other maybe a little too often.
Of course, girlfriends, and ex-girlfriends might have something to do with it, too.
Oh, and the DNA Shred Stix / Star Racing / Yamaha roster is Nico, Broc Tickle, Martin Davalos, and Max Anstie.
One thing different on that team this year is that all the guys get their own gear deals. No more No Fear.
At this point it's more like a divot in the scar tissue.
Pit Row
That's pretty gnarly though.
