I'm wondering how the place looked compared to last year. Just curious. Thanks.

I thought the attendance looked really good on TV but sometimes looks can be deceiving based on the stadium's capacity.

I didn't think it was as filled up this year, compared to last year.

Thanks folks. I'm asking because I am from NJ and a lot of friends and family went last year and were blown away by the cost of everything. None of them went this year so I was wondering if this sentiment was widespread or not. They have grown used to coming down here and enjoying free parking and being allowed to bring coolers full of drinks and food to our seats at Daytona. I try to tell them that Daytona is an anomoly in both aspects but it didn't make them feel any better :-)

The bottom and middle sections were totally full but the top row, not so much. I felt like there was more this year than last year but could be wrong. I know shitloads of people from New England said they were going to go but didn't!! Pisses me off that everyone complains we don't have a National or Supercross and we finally get one within 3 hours and everyone backs out in the last minute.

They jacked the prices - I didn't go but did last year I bought tickets for my group (7). Definitely more empty this year. Two things in play: the change in time (I think) hurt them and the price.

Another thing to keep in mind was that there was a big crowd despite the rain last year. This year had a clear forecast and still had less people. You can't double ticket prices and expect to sell as many tickets. I think they got too greedy too fast with this race.

It seemed like the cameras strategically did not pan to the upper decks (unlike the SC broadcast) I thought that was pretty smart of the Feld crew. It looked great on TV.

Considering that the race was held in the early evening. I would say that it was pretty good.

I wouldn't have went to a daytime event like this.
