Did you see the incident with your own eyes or just speculating.

I was standing as close as you can get and I talked to the ref. with Jason after. I see more and more kid's with the need to clean rider's out for no reason. Not sure where it's coming
from but I don't like it.

I just got off the phone with someone else that was there and the story Anstie is giving in this interview is not sounding like what actually happened.

Whether you like it or not really does not matter. Amateur racing at the highest level is out of control. The pressure to perform is at a all time high. The bottom line is Anstie is KTM's chosen one. The kid is a bad ass and that's all that matters when you look at the big picture. Anderson needs to pick it up or play the role of number 2 on the team. Otherwise he will be gone.

Not to sure on the pregnant thing. I am sure that Anstie is full of it and Jason's motors are junk.

I am thinking Anderson's lack of power is the least of his worries. If what is posted is true Anderson will be able to have anybody he wants tune his motors in the future because he won't be riding a KTM. This Anderson kid is damaged goods IMO.

I do not personally know either one of these families, but I was standing there after the finish line when Anderson's and Justin's parents went up to Max's dad, Devin and some other tall guy and were yelling at them about what happened on the track. What I found amazing was the fact that Devin, who is suppose to be the team manager, was laughing at the parent's of the other rider on her team (Anderson's parents), along with Max's dad and the other guy standing there. She did not show any professionalism in the matter. I also did not know that she is engaged to Max's dad and was pregnant, but that makes more sense on her behavior now. As it moved to the pit area, there was a lot of screaming and pushing going on until the officials got over there. All the families were separated, with Max's family in the semi and Anderson's family on the gravel road on the complete opposite side of the semi. Being an officer in law enforcement, if she was punched by Anderson's mother and had to be taken to the hospital, the police should have gone and arrested this woman for assault. Plus, if I were her fiance, I would go nuts on the person who punched my pregnant fiance and baby. They were at the track today and no police were there to arrest this woman. So it was handled very unprofessionally on all sides, not just parents and riders, but by KTM also. They had the same problem last year with Friese, he too was DQ'd for unsportmen like behavior and rode for KTM.

As for what happened on the track, I did see Max basically T-bone the Anderson kid and knocked him off the track, but hey, that is racing also. These kids need to learn limitations do exist and it was a pass for a better gate pick, not the title. It is going to take someone getting extremely hurt from one of these unsportsmen like moves to get everyone's attention.

I hope everyone involved is okay and wish Devin a speedy recovery for her and her baby.

As for Rogers, I also saw him leaving the track with a Kawasaki in the back of his truck, so he must be done with KTM also.

That was exactly what the person I spoke to who saw it said, it was not just a case of lines coming together.

I don't know about the rest of the drama and certainly hope everybody is healthy when all is said and done.

What do the people at KTM expect? First of all, the Ansties think their shit doesn't stink. I watched them at Mini Os. Get a bad gate pick, just move a haybale so you can use the one you want (gates blocked off for everyone else.) Need a good start, just jump over the gate a second or two before it drops. Want to check out lines before your moto, just walk out on the infield of the outdoor track and check out the lines up close and personal, and when staff asks you to leave, get all arrogant with them and act like you had a right to be out there. Then at Oak Hill. I didn't see it, heard from a few people who did and it sounded like a little more than just a love tap. First of all, wasn't it a heat race? Why would you put someone on the ground, especially a teammate, over a race that only counts for gate pick?

Secondly, what do people expect the other riders on the team think when, if it is indeed a fact, the team manager is sleeping with and pregnant with the child of one of the riders on the teams father. How can they possibly expect that person to be objective where the other team members are competitors with her lover's son.

Finally, with all of the people running around with video cameras, how can there possibly not be footage of the crash and the meltdown.

Worst was Jason walked around limping badly all week from the hit. Yea its racing, but as with Devin, sometimes the consequences are not was intended. As as I was just told the ref was standing RIGHT THERE. So it wasn't he said/she said, he actually witnessed it.
And as for Anderson? Bet he got multiple phone calls from the other 4 offering deals......

Lance Vincent seems to be flying in under the radar on this. Apparently he took some kid out at Lake Whitney who lost three fingers from the crash. He rode straight into some kid on the first lap in the 250B class heat race and he (LV) DNF'ed, The other kid suffering a huge heamotama to the leg, took Anstie blatantly out and Anstie DNF'ed. Spoke to someone at the track who was racing with him and said the guy is out of control.

My son was at the Southern All Star race and saw Derek there on the Kawasaki. I also talked to a close friend of the family last night.

Also from VURB: "As for Rogers, I also saw him leaving the track with a Kawasaki in the back of his truck, so he must be done with KTM also."

That enough????????????????????????

I was at the race in Tennessee, Thunder Valley to be exact, helping a friend in 450A. Derek Rogers showed up Saturday night with 2 KXF250's which he raced on Sunday in 250A and 450A. Talked to his dad in the mechanics area and they did leave KTM and our now riding Kawi's. For a kid that has never ridden a big bike with linkage suspension you could not tell. He was flying in both classes, very impressive.

Sounds like a complete different story than what is being told on mototalk by people who say they were there and saw everything. Goes to show there are two sides to every story.
