Man that is a bummer, he broke his back about 6 to 7 yrs ago doing these awesome set of doubles. He was one of the pioneers of fmx, he was super smooth talented rider and a pure joy to watch. RIP you will not be forgotten, man he was my favorite freestyle guy

That sucks, he was for sure badass on a bike, those doubles he was jumping when he broke his back might be the sickest doubles I have ever seen in my life!

There is video footage of the accident somewhere(showing the super peaky doubles, I bet the face was 15ft high, and the landing just as high, and peaky). I just don't want to see it now. What a lame deal. That dude always crushed it, and went huge!

It's pretty small here in the high desert, I ran into Mike a few times, he was always cool and approachable. Him and my cousin battled it out one year during the Golden State Nationals in the 125 beg class. RIP Mike.

I was there that day at Racetown395 when he hurt his back. I was filming him and caught the accident on video too. His people were going around asking for footage of the crash but I never gave it up cause I thought they were trying to confiscate it. I wonder if I still have it at my parent house somewhere.
