Seriously the 450 needs to go the way of the 500. Every main has been a snoozefest and tonight we saw, what, 1 pass on TV? How do they expect to draw a bigger audience with racing like this?

having a chase system would solve the boringness, there would still be 5 guys able to win the C-ship instead of Dungey pulling out a huge lead early on. Barring a DNF by Dungey, the series is already over.

That's what happens when you put 70+ hp 450s on a tight track... Wasn't everybody saying how great last week's high speed track was?

Yeah... not much bar 2 bar excitement in the 450's so far this season.
Maybe it will get better when things head East...who knows.

Wrong

Nobody would push early in the season because their points get reset regardless. It would be even more boring.

Plus, if Dungey puts in the work early in the season and has the speed, why doesn't he deserve to win the championship?

yes

every round is live.

while there wasn't much happening up front, there was some good racing between 41 and 3 with anderson getting into the mix in the latter part of the race.

watch drag racing..... or 3 hours of the roundy-round races and come back and give a report on the 450 class

well the racing was just as close as drag racing from the start to the first turn. racing can't be that far apart when your race is anywhere from 3.8 to 12 seconds..... just say'n

still boring as hell..... to me.

to each his own

i'll continue to be happy so long as i get to watch it live.

That would be punishing Dungey for doing good. I love the season because Dungey is winning. The more wins, the better. Smile

My issue is 2 heats, 2 semi's, lcq and then a Main. SX could easily fit a lights class in the programing. I love the 450's but I would like to see a class where if you don't get through a corner quite right you can't just blip the throttle and clear any obstacle. Time for three classes or a lights and open class.... some of these 250 guys should be running in the big boy class.

Yup, I'm satisfied. As soon as people get over Dungey not being their favorite rider and start appreciating just how good he really is in these "stacked fields" they'll be better. Until then, fanboys will wank about "boring", "he's consistent" (this is actually true, but always top 2, winning 12 of last 19, isn't too bad) and everything else that Dungey haters love to whine about. Just enjoy it for what it is. I was crushed when RC dethroned MC, but soon realized it was inevitable and we were witnessing something pretty awesome...

go look at RC and JS race 450 s in sx .was brilliant racing . the problem is Dungey is a better rider than everyone at the moment . and instead of working on how to ride faster . Ken and Tomac just blame the bike .i really agree with DV on this . maybe its time to look at the way they ride compared to Dungey rather than bike set up the whole time . Its like there too proud to blame themselves because in there heads there faster riders than dungey

No! I don't really care who wins, but their isn't much creativity going on. Everyone doing the exact same thing with very little variation, just some do it a little bit faster.

Like mentioned above, the 450 is simply too much. IMO the 250f is the perfect size for supercross. However, I understand that would be impossible. Just make the classes 250, and 350. At least then the guys will be more aggressive and can't be at a dead stop and huck a triple. Or maybe it is just time to rethink the tracks obstacles. Roczen, canard, and Tomac played follow the leader for ten laps. Anderson is nuts

Get rid of all the heat, semis, LCQ bullshit. Line up the fastest qualifiers like most successful motorsports and turn them loose. Half empty stadiums, TV coverage that gets bumped by a dog show, then 20 laps of no pass racing. Anyone of you that can say you were entertained by this must be brain dead

This race was a little exceptional for developing into a one lined track. Let's try to not all jump off a bridge tonight.

Doesn't that happen in the NFL? The playoffs? And no Im not gonna watch Nascar, however they do have good ways of doing things that could increase the viewship of motocross.

Why would having more winners early in the season be a bad thing? Although I still think Dungey would win most of them.

And no one is being penalized. Everyone is still on an even playing field and would know how it works before the season starts. Your reasoning is valid if they all the sudden change the points system in the middle of the season.... which wont happen.
2/13/2016 10:56pm
I'm looking forward to the stadium races with the longer tracks. A lot of the flat 180s in baseball parks with no outside bowl to bank off are hard to pass on. Dungey will probably still win though, he is in the best form of his career.
