Really on a 350? There isn't anything stopping KTM from punching it out to a 400 or more rules wise is there?
It's all a conspiracy, blah, blah, blah.
First it's: There's no way a 350 can win, down way too much power.
Then when it wins it's: There's no way he's on a 350, KTM is lying to everyone.
Reading is a lost art.
The Shop
If not it's up in the air.
I don't think there are any rules that would stop KTM from increasing the displacement on the bike up to 450cc's. Not that going that far would be needed but you would never know. They will not let Mike keep his bike overnight. I wonder why. I mean they are known for being inquisitive about their equipment. If the Alessi's figured out he was on something other than a 350 and got pissed at KTM they could spill the beans and that would be a serious blow to KTM 350 sales. On the other hand if they prove it, 350's will go rolling out the doors.
"I think we answered a lot of questions today" Mike Alessi.
Love it .....eat crow doubters.
He did it on a 350 and im pumped for him and KTM, they will be selling a LOT of those bikes this year and next.....I'll bet the "Big 4" are freaking out right about now.
And couchdriver they won't let him keep the bike because it's a works bike and Im sur ethey want to keep their (KTM's) secrets to why the bike is so good until it is released and don't want to take any chances, you don't think the competition want to get their hands on that bike as soon as possible???? You're kidding yourself.
Besides the Alessi's haven't had the best track record for lettiing someone else look into works bikes....at least that was what was rumored yet never confirmed. KTM is playing it safe to keep their edge....give up the conspiracy theory.
I couldn't blame KTM to not let the Alessi's keep it. The Alessi's have had people tear down other bikes to see what they had. KTM would risk all of their R&D. testing / specs for the 350 becoming public knowledge. There's are soo many people that would like to get a chance & see exactly what KTM is doing in there & the Alessi's could just hand it right over.

It is a 350...
Why the hell would anyone think any different?!?!
In the words of the great Todd Potter "THAT JUST HAPPENED"
Pit Row
People look for power, handling, suspension & weight. I've never heard of someone going into a dealership & saying prove the displacement to me, otherwise I'm not buying it.
If it needs a plug, the engine boys pull the engine.
At least thats how it was years ago, and I bet now, moreso with everyone so close.
Long before the YZ450F came out Ferry was running a 450 back when the bikes off the showroom floor were 426
Cooper on the 570 or whatever ridiculous thing that was...
But i guarntee that it is 350ccs and is no bigger. the one guys was right. the 250s lay down just as fast of laps as the 450s. its all about getting traction and putting it down. cariolis winning on it and now mike it. its gonna be an amzing bike. perfect for any of us spodes. even better then a 450.
get over and move on just because its not jap. everyone hates. ktms have always been fast, always will be. stop being brainwashed, now they have linkage to please all you na-sayers. shut up and watch the races!
Do you guys really think KTM would lie about it being a 350? Lots to lose if it isn't within spec for KTM.
