I hate the way an advertisement pops up over what I am trying to read or post making it literally impossible for me to finish reading the post. I just typed a response in a thread and I had to type it w/o seeing what I had typed as it was obscured by an advert that I could not get to move even if I opened it up or whatever. Then I didn't have access to the "submit" button because the advert was in the way. I actually saved what I had typed, reopened the thread and tried again but an advert was in the same place again not allowing me to post my response which had some useful info a member had asked for.

Also, I can't go to my last read post so I have to try and figure out what I have already read and what I haven't.

Are there any solutions to this crap?

Thanks.

Browser/system info?

I'll check when I get to the office, but as far as I know, there should always be a way to close an expanding ad.

Oh, and let me guess...your opinions have been working out in Ryno's gym? Wink

I have the same issues with the ads, been like that for a while now.

Sometimes it's an aggravation, sometimes it conveniently covers someones verbal diarrhea. Wink

IE 6.0 on XP Home.

In the cases where it covers someone's verbal diarrhea, consider it a public service. Wink

Forgot to add, and this should help with trouble shooting, that it seems to be intermittent in nature.

Your welcome.

the ad at the bottom of the page is still popping up out of place.

Hit F11 and it will move the ad out of the way (hit it again to make explorer look right, menus, etc).

I am using XP w/ Explorer and have that problem.

The other more recent issue is that it locks up. Have to close explorer and re start. Sometimes the thread loads, sometimes it doesn't.

I agree with Bobb, without the ^%$#@!!

Quoting a remark often triggers a "refresh" which makes you start over.

Ditto for me. I didn't know about the F11 key.

That fixes the problem each time.

Thanks txmxer!

I liked the workings of the old site better; like being able to subscribe to a post. I don't think that option is coming back though.

Gotta agree with Stephon. The old MotoDrive was way better. I miss it.

I did not know about hitting F11 either. I lost count of how many times I tried to reply to a thread using a quote and could not hit the submit button. Very aggravating. IE user but have been thinking about trying FF on the home PC. Obviously, I am stuck with IE at work but I'm supposed to be working anyway.

as for those that have problems at work

I only have troubles with the ads when I forget to log in before browsing the forums.

Anyone that hasn't downloaded Mozilla Firefox is still living in the 20th century. It runs faster than IE plus allows you to still have IE resident on your machine so you can use either one.

no problems here. i have firefox on a mac, but i'd imagine it would run pretty similar on a PC. I used to use netscape, but I have found that firefox runs much smoother.

Actually, just buy a mac and you won't have any issues! haha

Firefox or Safari on a Mac is really the best way to go.

i just miss the ole motodrive layout. simple, fast, and it seemed to work ok. Of course I realize this is now a much better sell and way to work a site. just is way to busy. Smile I guess it's why i don't come around anywhere near as often.....

Now that that's fixed, why do I get a warning "Out of memory at line: 56"?

When the new site first got started, I had this issue but it went away. Now it's back.
