I thought it was something that Emig was prescribed a little ointment for.

It's Huckabuck....

And it's not a part of the track, it's Emig's word for when you get the hops in a whoop section... Start to bounce back and forth etc in the whoops...

Really, you would take Ralph and his "James Stewart is the fastest man on the planet" crap?

At least Weege knows someone in the field other than Bubba. Oh, Weege is a FAN too, not a "Pro" (and I use that term VERY lightly) like old NASCAR Ralph. Ralph is a complete and total blithering idiot.

I'll add, I am not basing my opinion of Ralph only from watching him on TV, I've met him in person multiple times when he was doing play-by-play for IJSBA jet ski racing TV coverage. He was a complete and total blithering idiot at that too. At least old Ralph is consistent. Feld should move him to the Monster Jam team.

Weigant is good... As much as I like Emig, it's really only because I'm a fan of him as a rider, but honestly, he's kind of awkward a lot of times as an announcer

Emig said that's what the owners have named that section of the track. He said it during the first 250 moto on the alli sports stream, so it may have been at commercial on Fuel

I agree and the bashing gets old really quick. Our TV package is better than its ever been... but b/c it is better and we are getting better time slots and more of them we should be concerned if our announcers sound like they have no idea what they are talking about.

My prob is not with Weeg but with Emig. He is/was a bad ass on a motorcycle but sometimes he sounds like he spent one too many weekends at lake havasu. We need to step it up...

As for Ralph... I can handle him but he needs to get rid of his cheesy gold chain

The owners of the Pala ( you say it Paul-a, not Pay-la like the freekin' announcers call it) track called the 15 whoops the I-15 (interstate 15) after the freeway that's on the way to Pala.

Emig can't announcer worth sh@t with his five million okays. He can ride, he just is not an announcer. Give us McGrath!!!

Although in New Orleans a lemonade slushie is called a huck-a-buck, I think the meaning as Emig started using it was when the bike gets to bouncing all around in the whoops. As in getting hucked and bucked by the bike.

You may think it sounds dumb, but is it really any dumber than whoops? You do know that is short for whoop-de-doos?

I often wonder what Ralph would talk about if he had to announce the Outdoors with no Stewart?

To be happy with a stagnant product is the first step to failing in the long run. I think they put on a great show but with the season over it's a question that needs to be asked. Even if you're the most popular sport in the world you still try and make it better. That's how to get to the top and stay there (not saying we ever will or even stand a chance). Even Football (American and European) and Formula 1 make it better year to year.

Image determines a lot subconsciously. People don't dress up for church because they have to. They choose to. If they wanted they could worship from home in their PJ's if it made them happy. A guy with tats and a guy in a 3 piece suit walk in to a corner store. Guy with tats has never had a criminal record. Guy in 3 piece suit has been to jail for armed robbery. Who do you think the clerk is more worried about not knowing this info? Those analogies could be spun off for the broadcast and what it says to middle America who knows nothing about our sport. There are always things to be learned and improved on. Denying it only elongates the problem and causes more damage before it's fixed... or in easy talk... a lose in viewers who might have tuned in longer if the product was delivered differently. I don't know the answer one way or another. It's just something to think about.

"Huck-a-buckers"
"Mindset of a champion"
"Parking Lot Jump"

Plenty of gems from ol' Fro.
