Shakin up in his practices crash? He was off the pace in the final, after having the fastest qualifying time.
Any news on injuries?

Off the pace? Yes but he's in a foreign country, he's 16, it was his first big SX race, and he's banged up. Give him some time.

He was slow off the line and got squeezed out in both his heat and the main.

Said he felt tired before the final and a bit tight after being knocked off earlier in the evening. Still, not a bad performance to top qualifying and then come from about 15th to 7th in the main event, which included another get off half way through the race.

How long until we can stop saying, "He's only 16"...or 17..or 18? Kid has some big-time experience and handled the pressure well in Colorado last year. Hell, he is more seasoned than half the guys on the line. It surely must be from the crash. Hope he heals up and KILLS it next week!

I have never seen him ride personally, and he is prob one of my favorite riders after last night. Awesome style and blazing fast. Give him a few rounds to get settled, he is gonna be a heavy hitter

I thought he looked pretty solid. Being off the pace may be due to the fact that he was mid pack and stuff. What I saw of him, he looked good and he's definitely going to rip once he's feeling good.

Like Emig noted (when he wasn't gushing about Stewart), Ken needs a little bit of time to figure out SX tactics.

I liken Roczen to a world caliber track star who just jumped from the 5000 into the 800m sprint. Has everything. Tactics coming soon.

he definately rode different at race time . mainly he took different lines to pass people that were actually slowing him down but he will learn. when your doing practice there is always a fast line but when racing sometimes the slower rider is already in it forcing you to take lines you havent. ill bet he finishesat least 4th next week

He isn't known for starting particularly well though, which if he doesn't figure out soon could be his downfall. I think he proved he has the technical skills.

The good thing about his being banged up is he's only 16...he'll bounce back quicker than the guys with some years on them.

It's supercross. Way different than anything he's done before. Huge pressure, huge crowd, all his bosses watching, not to mention that the style of racing is totally different than what he's used to. You could see that he wasn't expecting the aggression from the other riders, or at least, he was caught off guard by it.

He sat next to me in the riders area during the heats and told me," nothing this big , the only stuff in Europe is like Arenacross" , so I'm sure there is a learning process going on.

Fastest in qualifying doesnt mean anything when you have 19 other riders pushing you around and bumping you in the main.

Especially when youre not used to having to get such good starts.

He was awesome, 'twas the talk of the town. Well, him and Nick Paluzzi.

He got 7th after falling. I'll consider that a success for him any day. That will only give him more confidence.

Fastest in qualifying doesn't mean you will win but shows you have the speed. All he is missing is a little bit of experience... I'm sure he has learned a lot last night. Now he knows what to expect.

Nope, his first GP was in Portugal in 2009 and he missed the 4 first ones cause of his age...

But of course all of us could handle that shit with no problem at all...

My wife gets RacerX tweets and they picked up one today from Roczen asking "what is there to do today?", like he was bored, not hurt.

I got that tweet directly from Ken and my first thought was "how could a pro mxer be bored? I mean, why isn't he riding a road bicycle for 200 miles, running 15 miles, and lifting weights ALL day long??? What a lazy POS."

JUST KIDDING!!!!!

Hope he was casting for females and hope he got one. Smile
