This is the first year I’ve missed in a long time. I’m so upset about it too since Dungey and Cairoli will both be there. My 8 year old begged me to take him because he’s a huge Dungey fan. Unfortunately I can’t get off of work. Unadilla is a little farther for me but I’ll be taking him there.

Been there damn near every year since able to drive, which for me happened to be the first national there, in 1976.

Always enjoyed the Memorial Day race weekend, which has since changed to mid June.

Some great times and great races, but for the past few years now, watching on TV.

First time going last year via motorbike. The pit bike racing on Friday night and the free demo e-bike ride were awesome!

Taking my 12yo son for the third time and my 16yo daughter to her first national. Been going pretty regularly since 89. The boy bought an air horn with his own money to make some noise! Purchased pit passes so they get the full experience. Looking forward to it!! Screw the gas prices...lets go!

I rode my Harley a couple times in the late 70s, was a lot nicer when it was time to leave. Wish we had those cameras back then. Hmm, maybe not lol.

This will be my first National, me and the wife will be camping and arriving late Friday.
Im guessing they just funnel you in and you set up camp wherever?

Usually if you aren't racing, they direct you to the right (once you get in the main gate) and that field and hillside is for fan camping.

I won't be there this weekend, but my buddy Josiah Natzke #533 from New Zealand will be in the 250 class. A true privateer riding on his own nickel with very little support, he placed 11th in moto 2 at Thunder Valley last weekend. Stop by and say hello to him and GF Tayla. Maybe even slip him some gas money.

We are leaving SC tomorrow morning and heading that way. The plan is to camp at the track Fri/Sat night. Weather looks about perfect for racing, spectating, and camping. We (wife, 2 kids, me) go to Daytona SX with our travel trailer every year...but we haven’t been to a National since Muddy Creek...and we haven’t tent camped in a bit. Looking forward to it!

Getting ready to purchase all of our tickets. Anybody know of a discount code? Every little bit helps...

I looked all over the place for a discount code before buying ours with no luck. Some perfect weather for tent camping, trying out a new setup on my wifes Jeep with an awning tent room. Gas is too damn high to tow my little trailer with my truck 6 hours but we will be happy to get out of this 100 degree heat this week in NC!

We made the same decision. We would obviously rather be in our travel trailer...but 8.5 mpg for a 1,500 mile trip is simply not in the cards with gas at $5.00+/gallon. So...throw the tent in the back of the F150 and get 20MPG over the same trip.

Safe travels! Maybe we will see you in the camping area.

Davey & Co used get a bunch of sand and saw dust into the mix. Not sure if they still do this, but it goes to show that National tracks prep differently than GP's.
