Chinese Workers get paid like 2 dollars a day if they are lucky. Now imagine what stuff would cost you if it were made by an American in a Union. Be glad that China is what it is. Without them we would not be able to afford half of the luxuries that we enjoy on a daily basis as Americans.

All that does not mean that we should accept sub standard equipment. We, as American, should always demand excellence in everything we do.

In the mean time they have a record double digit growth, a fast growing wealthier middle class and all the US industries and companies who work with China (probably 90% of our goods) are making noticeable profits.

All helmets are made in China and Korea, the same 2 factories, HJC and KBC. Breck, I am sure you're selling a good number of HJC's at the shop too. Same quality as all helmets made over there.
The best are still the Shoeis and the Arais. Expensive but worth the price. Tucker Rocky distributes Arais too.
Everything else, from $70 to $300 products made in China and Korea, are all same stuff. Why pay $300 for something that protects as much as a helmet made in the same factory and retailing for $70?

Sorry, I wasn't referring to the Sparx in particular, I definitely see the tests on those, but to what is made in China in general. They manufacture what they are contracted for and what we control.

The helmets I sell the most of are GMax Helmets, Low Price point, good helmets, but those are just street helmets. I sell a lot of the New Fly Trophy (Shoei Rip Off) Helmet. I do stock and sell Shoei's though for the customer that realizes the valuse of their head...

Just because two helmets are made in the same factory, does not make them the same helmet.

Helmet sellers contract with helmet manufacturers to build helmets to their specs, much like bike sellers have done in the past.

The Sparx is made by KBC, it has a great margin and even a return policy for the ones you dont sell but I just made to decision to stay with HJC at our shop I got the whole Sparx pitch from TR.
