So its around 100* and humid. A 46 yr old goes 22-24 for 26 overall. He was probably pissed he didn't get top 20! Well done John Dowd!!!

I was rooting for him to get top 15. Alas it was not to be today. Maybe he can still get enough points to keep his number.

Good to see him out there. I think last year he did Unadilla as well as Southwick. Gonna be tough to get the 25 points he needs to keep his number , but maybe he can pull off some magic at the Wick. Smile

He did all three, he just did not qualify for Unadilla.

What ever happened to him and his son riding Husky this year? There was video circulating the net a few months ago of them on Husky then yesterday I noticed he was on a KXF 450!

Either way good ride for Dowdy!

As a 52 year old, I would call Brownie Superman and Dowdy, a class act. If he has a real good day at the Wick, he can get close to 25 points.

well they're not homoglated, so if he were to race it would have to be on a different brand

I hear the huskys weren't cutting it in his Nesc series races and he was putting in rides on the kiwis.

EXACTLY ...... I remember his trying to race the bike bec of the contingency $ but said the bike couldnt handle the rigors of pro mx racing and I do believe they were homoligated bec they have been raced in pro AMA sanctioned off road series like enduro, gncc's etc.

looks like they're holding up just fine for pro racing

i'm pretty sure homoglation is different for pro mx and sx vs enduro
I'm pretty sure last year Husqvarna homologated the TC250 and not the 449. This year I think Husqvarna did not homologate any bikes for SX/MX.

Seems like hes been 46 for like 5 years now. I don't think anyone out there truly enjoys racing more than the JYD.
