Especially when Millsaps came from behind to finish 3rd last week. Terrible. And Short's 2 podiums, and Tedesco's podium. And Millsaps other podium

Honestly, with Reed and Stewart being superhuman, without them Honda would be kicking ass right now. I think they have the most solid team by far, not sure what was with Millsaps and hot sauce tonight though.

As a team they are less consistant as the season goes on. Each rider has had moments, but not the consistant rides they should be having. They should have the final podium spot covered. I'm sure management and sponsors are feeling the same.

True, but about the only consistency in the whole field has been Reed and maybe stewart without a few crashes.

you'd think honda would just put in whatever $$$ it cost to have the best rider. they're getting complacent on their quality rep, which is well-deserved no doubt, but still, they need to get a champion.

Aside from Shorty they really need to look into signing some ACTUAL title contenders.....they haven't had a serious title contender since RC

I'm talking about Factory Honda not Geico and Windahm ...he is always a threat to win

What do you mean by that? Have you been paying attention to the season thus far and the one before and the one before that? They both have 2-3 good (podium) rides indoors and 2-3 good (podium) rides outdoors a year.....usually keeps their contract for another year .....thats it. It looks like they are riding as a job and not having the desire to go for the win. I believe 118 rodes his a$$ off at Daytona because his BIG bosses were there ....have you ever seen him ride that aggressive....didn't he also go for broke at Daytona whenb he was in the lites class a couple years back. He only rides with heaqrt when he has to....or the patterns suggest that

It's either Kehoe made a bad choice selecting them......or has done a bad job managing them.

Maybe the riders should be pissed? Maybe the bikes suck and the team staff, from top down are doushe bags?

Maybe they tell them to ride like Jeremy or they will lose their contract and they all do it and then complain to their wives that it makes them slower to copy someone else?

Maybe Alessi is fucking flying and is tough competition on that tight turning Zuk?

Maybe just maybe Team Honda is a shitty place to be and it negatively affects the riders? Maybe Honda should pay them more bonus money and offer them contract extensions so they can relax and race without riding tight after small setbacks or getting passed.

Jus sayin'

I worry about Honda pulling out of racing altogether next year. They did it in formula 1, road racing, etc. Most people already by a Honda b/c of their reputation and with the economy, the team results and the dominance of stewie, who knows if they will even field a team next year. If red bull wasnt around i wonder if they would even be racing this year. Hard to imagine moto without factory Honda...

I will still ride red even if they pull out of MX/SX. They are the most reliable built machine you can buy.

well, I do think they are. Name one team with more talent that is always in the top 5. Did you forget Millsaps other podium this year? The way you're picking them apart, nobody but Stewart and Reed should have a factory ride.

Did you even read what you wrote?
If I am not mistaken, Stewart and Reed are signed. They hired proven people. Tedesco and Milsaps were lites champions. Shorty is no slouch placing 2nd in overall points last year and always consistent. There only real mistake was not stepping up and keeping Carmichael years ago. There can only be one winner.
Say what you want, but people love Kevin Windham and he is a great image for a company like Honda.
They also grabbed Canard and Barcia in the amateur ranks.

That's why short is sitting a solid third in points. He has been fairly consistant every week, besides when Stewart is taking him out.

No doubt about the Wharton Brothers! I do think Honda will reevaluate at the end of the year. Townley and Tedesco were two year contracts, and they resigned Milsap and Short this year. When you think about it, they hired Townley {who was the only one to run and beat Villopoto consistently}, two othe lites champs, and Mr. Consistent Andrew Short{The all american looking kid}. It's motocross and things happened, but when you look at that a couple years ago, what a powerhouse team that was going to be.
Really hard to say they made a mistake while they were all healthy.
