I think Eli is hurt more than he was letting on last night. It looked to me like his elbow was either broken or dislocated. I don't know who has a video of him trying to get up. He was laying there sprawled out. I hope he is ready to go in time for the series to head back west. Did anyone else notice this? During Erin's interview he looked like he may have been in a bit of a cover up mode. Why couldn't he get his bike started?

When he first crashed I thought he'd actually snapped his arm in two because for a second it looked like his arm was flapping over with no support. Had to turn my head away from the screen. But then in the next shot a few moments later he was up and about, and grabbed the bars. So it wasn't as bad as that thankfully. They've got a good rest time now.

yeah, I thought for sure it looked like he broke it but you may be right , maybe it dislocated and popped back in. He was certainly in a ton of pain. To damn bad the bike would not start as would of been interesting to see if he could ride.

Either way sucks for him but he has had a few close calls lately. He seems to be riding in one mode and that is balls out no matter what. There are times with his style of being up over the front so much he reminds me of JS7. Unfortunatley that style keeps biting Stewart in the ass to

He might have dislocated something. But if it was serious, I don't think Eli would have sitting on the side of the track with Erin Bates itching to get an interview. Speaking of which, I think that was somewhat uncalled for..to try and ask how he's doing minutes after he just lost 25 points is kinda ridiculous. He couldn't even hear her and you tell he was in pain and pissed that he lost the championship lead

I get that. But I'm sure it's not her decision to run over there and interview the kid. You could tell he didn't want her there. Just saying that it was kind of dumb because he couldn't hear her and you know he's not going to say anything except, "it hurts...it's more of my elbow not my shoulder." awesome.

That was a hard assed hit, watch how quickly his entire body stops. Plus there's the impact from the bike.

Is anyone capable of leaving the guy alone? Jheez, I want Deano to win the championship and I can see how annoying it is for Tomac. Dude just lost his streak, huge championship lead and season where he was actually in the position to win and all everyone can do is ask him stupid questions.

Just gets told he cant race anymore. Then gets the mic rammed down his throat. "How do you feel?" Anyone with a brain knows that the answer would include a variety swear words to show his frustrations. He couldnt actually hear what he was being asked, so in know way did he let us know anything. I think the response was: "My elbow is a little grazed up" dude was probably not completely with it at the point at all.

Time will tell..

Although I will admit that I'm obsessed with dislocated shoulders since doing my own, I too was wincing in pain in unison with Eli when I watched the replay. I was sure it was a dislocation. And was totally surprised to see him back on the bike. Bit of a mystery, but maybe he popped it back in trackside and the adrenaline was driving him. Time will tell, I suppose.
