Weigandt just said the opposite.
Should be back for the last few rounds according to Star.

Seems he has been on holidays with no sign of riding/training. I dont think he will ride until A1.
Only motivation would be race MXON but there been no talk him riding there yet

Dylan wanted to race the first round. The problem was that if he didn't get the ligament fixed, he would've had problems with it for the rest of his career.

“Unfortunately, I had a small crash Tuesday, and I hurt my left thumb. I thought it was a minor sprain, but the medical exam showed a broken ligament with the Stenner effect, which means it will never recover without surgery. I wanted to try to ride Saturday, but without surgery, in a few weeks, the ligament can die, and the damage can be irreversible. We decided with the team to go for the surgery now to have me back at my full physical capacity, but that means I will miss the beginning of the motocross season.

I can understand that. I was just putting that out there. Cool

Weege said in his post southwick show he talked to star and they're hoping he can race the last 4 rounds. But maybe less.

Such a bummer, hopefully he does race a few. Could you imagine how good the series would have been with Dylan in? Damn

This could play into Eli championship run beautifully for him if he comes back.

I’m sure he’d like to get a chance to run the big #1 even if he only comes back for the finale.

With Dylan back it means that Dungey and Roczen will be finishing one position lower than the usual every raceWhistling

That injury is brutal. If it's not allowed to heal completely it becomes a major problem that just drags on. You feel like you can do things, but then it constantly gets reaggrivated.

8-12 weeks is normal healing time for a mortal. Impressed he is back on the bike. Baggett tried to ride through that injury one year when he was a contender and couldn't.

I have a feeling Star will try and get him out there ASAP. If they can get another Star bike up in the top 5 to fight with these Hondas it will only help Tomac and the team.

I HIGHLY doubt that he will come in over half way through the season fresh off of an injury and run top 3 right off the bat.

That's very wishful thinking.

Anstie just went 5-5 basically coming off the couch. On a new bike on a team that has never competed outdoors. Ferrandis will be fine.
