Maybe, just maybe he has had it a while and liked the way it handled, so he now is trying to get the new one to handle like the old one.....
Or, it's just one he bought a while ago and still has it.

WOW!!.....really cool....he owns an 08' Honda like myself. Damn thing is sitting out in my garage still brand new and hasn't even been ridden yet! I did just get it a couple months ago though. Won't be long and that thing will be out getting hammered on.....Hopefully April?

I think everyone is missing the point, the bikes have come to almost a complete hault on big changes to the bikes. So really a CRF 2005 - 2009 are pretty darn close before EFI. Any think of the surplus of racing exquipmnet laying around for the older bikes that have been abandoned from the other factory riders.
