Why don't people understand the difference between stock vs factory and the difference in teams? Are they just fucking dumb or is it fishing attempts?

Isn't it the suspension that CP has the problem with? Millsaps runs different suspension.

Light Blue...that would kinda cool and there is real heritage there...but there's a connection for me with Falta/Dostal and one of my 1st moto-memories is Mike Webb's '70 CZ250.

I can tell when I like a bike in the first five minutes of riding it.

Im sure the pros do too.

I think the question comes down to how comfortable the rider feels on the bike. Some guys have different riding styles that complement different bikes. For example, James said he knew Reed wouldn't jive well with the Kawasawki because he knew the bike needed to be ridden very aggressively.

huge difference between 22's bike and his factory honda he is on now......windham hasnt been on a factory bike for a few years now......except when he fills in for honda like he is now........377's bike is fine....he was up front for about 5 laps in texas.....or maybe just maybe 377's bike is only good for 5 laps? and we already know that James bike is only good for 8 laps!

You ever ridden someone else's bike that throws you around like a bucking bronco on accelerating/braking bumps, let alone compresses or rebounds differently to what you're used to? You can still ride it hard, but after a while you get tired and before you know it you're clinging onto the bars for dear life.

I can agree with that point as well but not to the point of making a bike unrideable. Reed won Hangtown last year (on a Kawasaki) and finished 2nd at Freestone (on a Kawasaki) and then the bottom fell out at High Point. What if he just REALLY likes those first two tracks and does well at them. Certainly wasn't the same today unable to get past Weimer and then passed by Millsaps. Before last year started Reed said the KXF was the best outdoor setup he ever had. I think results always play into how much someone likes a bike. When Reed started getting beat good last year, it became the Kawasaki as the problem. Don't factor in that he only came to the US a few weeks before SX started, almost immediately broke his hand, and seemed completely unprepared for the season.

Now factor in this year, spent most of the off-season here testing and riding, and seems way more motivated. Somehow that always makes a bike work so much better.

Pourcel, same thing. He's been hurt for months. He's been riding this bike for only a few weeks and expects to feel completely comfortable on it at top 450 National speeds? He might have a tattoo of a S on him, but this still requires work. Dungey is on the same basic setup he's had for going on 2 years. I think he's pretty well dialed in. Not going to catch up in that area after a few weeks.

I`m sure you`re the most loved person in the pits, I mean you do talk like this with all the riders in person, right?

Are you forgetting Sherwood a lot of folks putting Stewart's issues on his bike? You don't get any more factory than James' mount. I'm not bashing Stewart here as I don't remember his publicly dissing the Yamaha like the Internet folks have been.

My 2 cents!
The mistake C.P. made was signing with the team that is not suitable for him.
Walking away was the right decision under the circumstances, all the best to him in the future and I am still a big fan, as well as many other riders that show the ability to ride a motorcycle in a way I can only dream of.

If you remember back, Chad said the same thing about James going to San Manuel.

Sooo much of the parts on the JGR bikes are completely custom. Apples and oranges.

Walking away without communication is just wrong. Man up and tell the team your intentions. Not that hard for a grown-up.

I am with this guy.

Not every rider gels with the same bikes. On top of that, the Moto Concepts YZ is not the same bike the JGR is.

Not the same bike.

Sounds like it's possible that you own a clapped out older YZ.
