Now I know why it's named "Service". Best I've ever had, by far. If the bike's half as good as the service I'm getting, I couldn't ask for more.

Big difference between using a 450 roller as opposed to a 250 smoker?
Thing would be vicious looking sitting in an 09 450.

Anyone who rides fast enough to break it is already getting free bikes - for any normal person, it's bulletproof.

moto547.

I buitt a 1998 500AF in fall of 97. (the first new service honda 500AF)
raced it hard for a year,,( 60 some events/multi classes as well)
then sold it to a guy in cali,,
hadnt heard from him in years.
he called me the other day,, (very cool)
and still has the bike! kind of blew me away.
this is basically ten years later
and has been racing and riding it all along.
has only done he usual wear items.
the bikes been bulletproof.,and he plans to keep it.

i have over two thousand AF's out there..
stone reliable.. Smile

John,,

What's the point in buying a bike when most mortals are incapable of riding it to its capabilities? Most people can't ride a 450 worth a shit let alone a 500.

Half the people who ride couldn't put a 250F to work, I still make a 450 scream, weight doesn't have anything to do with it.

I know where you live fool. lol

I'm not doubting Service Honda's quality, just the purpose of a 500 in general.

Then in an awkward way, I understand. It must be one of those things were guys with small dicks need retardedly lifted F350s etc to feel like a man.

Now something like the KX300AF or whatever it is I've heard of, that seems like a worthwhile project.

Kyle, you're young...next time you're at a track, and you see an AF500, ask to ride it. Then give us a report on your test ride.

You will be amazed.

If A.J. (Service Honda) could build 400 a year, you would see them in a National !

BTW, Bakersfield Boy, the fact that you don't understand why a person would want a CR500AF tells us all we need to know about you.

You couldn't explain, so I was forced to assume. I never attacked you, unless of course I was right. Don't talk so tough behind a keyboard, keyboards don't make you immortal.

In reply of your attack, It's common knowledge that few people can ride a 450 to the max, the thought that anyone could ride a 500 2 stroke that way is idiocy.

I wouldn't mind trying one out Slow~Pro, although I've yet to meet anyone willing to let someone they don't know ride their bike. 500s aren't a bike anyone can ride WFO though and that's what makes riding fun for me.
