I know a lot of the regulars have always said Jeff had more talent, but this is the first time I' ever seen it coming from Tony. I'd have to think twice if this is being used to motivate Mike, or more a slap in the face.

IDK, (Motivation or a slap to the face) but it's kinda fucked up for a father to even make those kind of comments about his kids.

I'm on the NON-bashing train for the Alessi's. I want Mike and Jeff to do good despite all the background crap that goes on.

This site isn't welcomed with open arms here, but, I thought this was pretty funny, and while on the topic of the Alessi family, I'll share:

http://brotocross.blogspot.com/2011/01/family-matters-with-alessis-did-you-see.html

I though it was cool to see Jeff doing good. Stinks to see Mike struggling after having always done so well (it was only 1 race though, we'll see how the rest of the season goes), but it's cool to see Jeff stepping it up.

Things like this would make me want to go kick Paul Tuttle Sr. right in the nards!Unsure Tongue

I like both the boys quite a bit, even more so sans Tony.

Didn't Mike do an interview once where he said he was going to buy a house on some island somewhere with his girl friend? Kind of hard to do being a mid-pack outdoor guy, unless he has some big money packed away.

How could a father be that much of an asshole to his sons. Crazy... I'm saying slap in the face. If it wasn't for Tony, Mike probably wouldn't be so burned out right now in my opinion. Good find SIMX.

Sounds like he's having fun at the expense of his detractors. Looks like they'll be eating seafood for the rest of the season when the fish start jumping in the boat.

IMO, You get Mikey on the 450 and fast. Since I saw that 16 yr old kid, barely 100lbs soaking wet, podium in his 2nd race ever at Millville on the CRF450 I've known Mikey is made for the 450. His whole life he's had bikes as fast if not faster than the entire field. You take that away from a kid like Mikey and all his confidence just melts. Not to mention Shorty's results seem to validate that Mikey is underpowered.

After this year the Alessi's will begin to fade away. Contract year for Mike and its just not gonna be a positive year for him. SX he will pretty much always be outside the top 10 and Outdoors he will be Johnny 7th Place again. I know he is better outdoors, but im sorry, he will not be able to beat Dungey, RV, James, Metty, and Canard. Especially on that 350. You will probably see them both on privateer teams for another year or 2 and then they will be throwing in the towel and maybe do a family riding school or something. Tony has to do something to make some cash.

Sad, these kids could have been something but, Tony just ruined them as pros.

The best thing that can happen for MA is that at the end of the year, ktm doesn't renew his contract. Things could only get better from that point on.

You might be right. Maybe Mike joins Jeff over at Rock River and then starts smokin everyone on a stock YZ450 with mods.

Every year since at least 2006 I've been hearing these doomsday predictions about how the Alessis are finished or fading away, all because of their "evil" father who has run them into the ground.

Yet here we are.

Yes here we are, a non threat in supercross and fading fast in motocross. Kind of like J Law, only a matter of time before someone says they just arent worth the hassle

Do you ever post something that doesn't contain homosexual imagery? It must get lonely up there on the mountain.

And putting Alessi is the same league as Lawrence is asinine.
