The price of a ticket at Hangtown seems out of control. I thought GH was bad at $35.00. I think this is going to kill attendance today, but we'll see. The tracks should be more consistant on ticket prices, what you can/can't bring into the track and stuff like that. Ok, my rant is over. Going to shut up and prepare to enjoy a live moto on TV for once.

Are you serious?? Are all the tracks charging this? If so, guess I'll skip Red Bud this year. Lets see, no seating, no flushing toilets, parking in a field and you want top dollar?? Charge $20 and be happy, you aren't giving any more to the racers than 10 years ago, the facilities haven't improved that much. Greed...

I don't know exactly who determines the ticket prices, whether it's the promoters, the track owners, etc. But they need to be very, very careful about this. We are in the middle of a pretty tough recession and raising prices too much could be absolutely devastating to attendance and generate less revenue/exposure/you name it for everyone involved. I paid $12 per ticket for a family of 5 at Seattle in April.

The majority of the people that I usually watch the races with are not going due to price. All are racers or former racers and all have kids. That's about 20 people I can think of who will not be there, I'll be surprised if it doesn't look like the mid 90s out there crowd wise.

What is up with $42.62? That isn't the real price is it? I find it hard to believe they would want to hand out coin change all day. That is crazy. I think Highpoint was $35 last year.

State-run facility? Maybe Arnold's trying to balance the state budget? Wink

Funny, yet I agree 100%.
To costly.
I didn't bother going to GH.
I wanted to & I tried to.
I could rant about all the "favoritism BS"
but some other time.
My son & some pals went though.
My son paid 30 plus dollars.
We heard ahead of time that what he bought would certainly
get him & his pals into the pits, but no such luck!
They ALL felt screwed!
I think so too.
Gotta figure that happened to plenty of others as well!
That's good for nothing.

You mean you are willing to pay $70 for a fken hotel room for one night but can't hang with $40 for 12 hours of the greatest show on earth? I say raise it to $100 per person and use the money for covered grandstands and air conditioned bathrooms.

We paid $75/each to see Bruce Springsteen, $50/each to see Coldplay (lawn seats) and almost $100/each to see U2. $42.62 doesn't sound that bad to see the best motocross riders in the world do their thing. Measured against other entertainment, that's not bad. It's just expensive when you expect to pay $30 or so.

Nationals need family pricing. Too expensive for a family of four to attend.

I bought my Glen Helen ticket at a Yamaha dealer for 33 bucks out the door. Factor in parking which cost nothing I would say it's a bargain for a guy....for a family...well no.

Most parking for events here in Cali is 20 bucks!

Heck, it's only once a year. Be happy you have a national to go to - I'm sure a lot of people in Florida and Georgia would be stoked to pay $42/head to see a National.

I here ya , but the one thing is , that you can't see those shows on the boob tube the next week, or day , or like this year, a few hours later. Being that it's on tv, you don't feel like you're missing out as much.
