I’m thinking about getting a ‘23. They’ve been in dealerships for a few weeks so I’m wondering if anyone has one yet? Would love to know how it stacks up the the ‘22 ( I can get a deal on a ‘22).

change the gearing on a 2022 and its pretty much a 2023 for a lot less money. You will be just fine on the 2022

You say that, but it's internal gearing changes to make it better gear to gear as far as I understand? So throwing a sprocket on is not going to give you that kind of result. I'd agree I expect most of us would be just fine on a '22, but who knows and each to their own.

To be fair, when you think Pro Circuit have outsourced custom spec'd gear kits to X-Trac in the past (maybe even now, either way they're about as good as it gets when talking gears, sequential boxes for racecars, etc, and I'm sure it's insanely expensive) then that's most likely a bonus if that kind of development / ratios are finally trickling down to production... Unless it ends up sucking for the average Joe or is too "supercross'y" but I doubt either will be an issue.

Granted the remaining changes are minor though (and the BNG are especially minor, in that there's barely any on there).

You might be right, but there are pretty significant changes to the engine as well. I’m interested in what that does to the bottom end power.

I know they don’t show numbers but the before/after dyno curve kawi is showing looks significant across the engine speed range.

I rode a friends 2023 today and I have ridden lots of laps on another friends 2022. The ‘23 definitely feels like it has more bottom end and mid range. It still has the same high revving characteristic. I can’t really comment on suspension because the track I rode wasn’t very rough but it did seem a little softer than the ‘22. I would say they made some significant upgrades.

Surprised no magazines have ridden it yet. Waiting to hear about the motor and gear ratios.
Magazines get it the last day of this month.

Got to break mine in the other day, coming off my 450 is hard to compare power wise but the bottom end is good even for me weighing a lot. Still revs really high, but mine does have a pipe, VP T4, and an airbox mod. Very happy with it when I was hesitant to go down to a 250 with how much I weigh

I’m 205lbs 6’3 and my 2020 Kx250 hauls me around just find. I love revving it out, so much power up top. I came from a rmz450

I'm curious to see what they did to make this bike better. My son just got a 2022 KX250 and I really like it. Underrated bike IMO.

I’m probably the heaviest guy riding one out there lol I’m 265 right now. I’m slow right now coming off a broken arm and back but I can jump everything on it and feel like I’m no less competitive. Starts will be tough but aside from that it’ll be good just need to shift a lot to jeep it in the right spot of the power

A revised intake boot which from what PC told me it’s pretty much what the pro circuit intake was that was available for the 21-22, different valve sizes, different flywheel, new pegs that are the same as the 19-23 450 pegs.

It is supposed to have more power everywhere, some revised gear ratios, a 110 rear tire, mx33 tires, new suspension settings, and the stuff cygrace already posted.

It could definitely use some midrange power....keep it on the pipe and it sings

Lindsay posted a video, shows the heads, pistons, and airboot side by side of the 22' to 23'
Gives all the info on the changes, and how it compares

Since they put the 110 tire on the rear, did they also go with a 1.85" rear rim?, or is it the same width as the 22'?

Yeah, rim didn’t change.
