Some young buck by the name of Ryan Dungey comes to mind. Then there is some Wharton kid, along with a Barcia of some sort. I hear they may be able to run Metty's pace.

Dungey has to be the favorite to win the title, but look out for Stroupe, Canard, Izzi, and barcia if he really does race the entire 09 season. If I had to put money on a rider it would be Dungey, second choice would be Stroupe.

I agree with Huckster.

He'll get some injuries like this year. Dungey, Stroupe, Canard, Wharton, Izzi, all will be on his pace next year.

He is very consistent and if he stays healthy, although he rode some good races this year with injuries

Metty will definately be a contender for the champioship.

But as always the lites class will be packed with lots of talent again next year and we should see a tough tight battle for the championship with a international field

Isn't Pourcel racing for PC also ?? I'm not sure how far he has come from his injury/rehabilitation but if he's on the mark he is pretty untouchable.

i think dungey as well, but stroupe is going to give him a run for sure if he stays healthy. stroupe beat metty everytime on the track and it was his first *full season (yes, we all know he didnt make it the whole seas)

i too thought pourcel was suppose to be with PC next year.
