8/12/2013 7:18am What do you guys use for a damper rod bolt when putting in emulators? I would like to source a bolt instead of cutting off the compression valve part of my exsisting bolt. The forks are off a 1984 YZ 250 ( KYB ).

8/8/2013 9:12am I talked via email with Race tech but they said I would have to find my own bolt. I took a shot and ordered a damper rod bolt from an '82 YZ 250 and had no luck. It didn't fit.

So I took the cylinder and had it bored for first oversize Yamaha cast piston (.25). I gave the shop the piston and they bored it with the clearance that Eric Gorr recommended. 9/7/2012 5:49pm I was on the Race Tech web site looking up recommended spring rates for my bikes. Just for kicks I looked up the 82/83 YZ 100 and in the notes it said excellent linkage design. I always thought the design was a dud, but RT says otherwise.

I had been looking for a smoke colored peak visor to put on my old moto 3 that sits in my case. I found that and more. Bought them for $3 each. My boy wears the black open face when he is just putting around. We both wear full face normally.

The 84 is having the cylinder bored. It has a dent free pipe. Should have waited to button it back up before pictures. The compression wasn't that bad. I was doing the 85 cylinder and thought I would do both. Don't ride it much. The 85 is ridden a bunch. It has 87 cr250 forks, wheel and brakes...

3/25/2012 4:41pm I need to take my clutch cover off but I can't get the nut off the kickstarter. It is a 1985. Usually my impact/compressor will get the tough stuff. The threads are standard aren't they? I have some PB blaster on it soaking to help.
