1983 yz 100

I had intentions of getting rid of some vintage 2 smokes instead of buying more but I ran across a YZ 100 the other day. It is in decent shape. All original plastic except for front number plate. No tears in seat. I had forgot it came with full size wheels. I know it has a 125 bottom but after that don't know much about the model. I wanted this bike bad when I was 13. What is it worth? It is ten minutes from my house so that counts for something.

That bike has gotten really popular with the Marty Tripes 100cc revenge class. Any 100cc vintage action going on in your area?

Not yet on the Tripes deal. I knew there was some interest due to Tripes, I had even posted a link to a RM 100 craigslist find a month or so back. The part I forgot was how big the 82 and 83 were. I watched the you tube stuff with Burnworth and Gibson. They look like a blast. My boy has trouble with 2 stroke fumes and said any future moto money would be spent on a four stroke bike and/or on our track here at home BUT I really think this is a cool bike. He wants $900 for it and knows about the works revenge deal so he knows what he has. He has several bikes, I went to look at his 74 cr 125 and then saw the YZ.
