As someone who got "forced out" of a position in which they were excelling (or at least continuing to get better), DB's frustrations were a very difficult to listen to. If Daniel Blair and GL do a ride companion type deal where I can basically mute the broadcast and stream them commentating in real time I would pay money for that. Even if all they had was Bondo’s moronic cuts to work with they’d still put together an offering relevant to the market and what we would enjoy more than the current deal.

I was just thinking the same. I was so wrapped up in what Australia did. It kind of slipped through the cracks as to how well US did. I am glad Deegan skipped it. If he was there 250 rider I doubt Australia grab that first victory. Eli is still a beast and it is great to see. I dont think his beast mode is the same peak it once was. As an Aussie at 3am who's been screaming at his TV for the last 35 minutes you have to tip your hat to team USA for that performance, after all the hoohaa about Deegan not going, Tomac maybe not going, maybe not even sending a team, those 3 guys showed up and put it together better than all the European nations on a track that the USA guys only ride once every 5 to 10 years. I just finished watching the MXoN Qualifying Races and holy cow what a difference between this broadcast and the pathetic sh@tshow the US SMX broadcasts have become. Some notes: The MXoN broadcast seems to use the necessary 7 or 8 cameras on the ground that actually follow the race fully around the track. Beautiful FULL SCREEN coverage of the riders, properly framed, railing turns, hitting jumps, working the ruts, showing body positioning, suspension action, etc., and most importantly, showing the RACING!! They (thankfully) have very minimal use of their split-screen, and almost zero useless Inserts of a guy in the...
