Rickyisms Liked a reply to forum topic Paying to have a tire mounted for a dirt scooter ain’t cheap, think I’ll get rigged up to change my own.
1/5/2023 11:25am I changed tires over a 5 gallon bucket since freshman year of high school. My boss just gave me a Tusk tire changer with the bead breaker (not a full tire stand) and I use it on the tailgate of my truck with some of my dads old tire irons and a bead buddy. Baby powder, soap, and good tire irons make it pretty easy and painless. Leave your tires/wheels in the sun for a couple hours to soften up the rubber, take small bites, and when you get frustrated take a break for 10 minutes and come back to...

1/5/2023 11:23am I would suggest DirtbikeTV on YouTube. Jay Clark makes it look easy but he's got several slower videos showing how to do it. I recently started doing my own tires for the same reasons you mentioned. Nice tire stand, 3 spoons, bead buddy, corn starch and soap in a spray bottle. Cost of getting set up properly sucks but it pays for itself quickly. New set of Hoosiers I just mounted were easier than the Dunlops I was used to, not all tires are the same. I haven't tried doing a bib mousse yet either. Good luck.

11/4/2022 12:54pm The best advice I can give you, sourced from years of study, is transition to a whole food plant-based diet. If you take a deep dive into the literature, and be careful to source unbiased studies (you can find the conflicts of interest published in the study on PubMed), you'll ultimately find a WFPB diet is the only way of eating proven to suspend and reverse type two diabetes and heart disease. I've been vegan for eight years now and am healthy as a horse, with normal insulin sensitivity, perfect cholesterol, and virtually no chance of ever suffering from heart...

11/4/2022 12:52pm Diagnosed with CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia) 18 years ago at 45 . Never been treated. Consider myself lucky. Doc said "you used to have V8 now you have a V4" To be truthful I don't think about it much and not sure I can say it affects my moto riding much. The first moto season after being diagnosed instead of my name on front number plate I put the acronym "NTL" (Nothing To Lose), nobody asked what it meant but think a few close friends knew....I hole-shoted more than my fair share of moto's in a very competitive +45A @...

11/4/2022 12:51pm For me it’s a few things. Eat like crap, train like crap, watch crap, addiction= crap performance. Eat smarter (I still eat food I like just work in a more rounded and controlled portions) I don’t care if you want to be plant based that’s your choice I don’t want to. I’m working on making 1-2 days a week all plant based meals. You don’t need a large double quarter pounder meal from McD’s get a regular cheeseburger and a water/poweraid/lemonade and walk away finish it wait 5-10 mins and see if you’re still hungry you’d be surprised. Train regularly...

11/4/2022 12:51pm Didn’t realize I’ve always had a resting heart rate of around low to mid 90s and by the time I hit the starting line it was well in the 140s 150s. My max wearing a heart rate monitor riding moto was 208 bpm sustained around 15 to 20 minutes. Been on med and now have a resting Hr of around 58 59 bpm.
